OMG! Visiting this garden is very close to the top of my bucket list right now. We had a Monet exhibition in Melbourne last year and the artwork of the Giverny gardens were just stunning! Thanks for sharing these pictures. The lily pond pictures are beautiful! Did you see the house?

Thanks for identifying the flowers! Giverny is definitely a must-visit.
We did get to see the house:

The house was full of copies of his paintings (the originals are in museums). Although we weren't allowed to photograph the inside of the house, we could shoot the garden from the second floor windows.

We took a walk in our local woods today to see the spectacular carpet of Bluebells.

I do have a recent (August 2013) set that fits perfectly with the Flower & Garden theme.

These were from our trip to France and were taken at the garden of Claude Monet's estate in Giverny. You can see where he got the inspiration for many of his impressionist works. The lily pond and the Japanese bridge were particularly beautiful.

It is such a beautiful place! All my pictures from there had to be developed from that little old thing called film and printed onto paper.
