What if your AP expires during your stay?

If I book a room using an AP room discount code and my AP expires two days after I check in, would I only get the discount on the room for those two nights and have to pay rack rate for the remainder of the stay? Or would they honor the AP discounted rate for the entire stay? Not sure yet if this is going to happen as I am still not sure if we will get to make a trip this summer. If we do make a trip though, this is almost certain to happen (dependent on even getting a room discount using the AP). Just trying to plan ahead a little bit.

If you book your room over the phone with CRO, it should be no problem. However, the online booking system will probably only let you book your AP room through when your AP expires.

Ours has expired the past two years while at Disney. We didn't update it until we got home, because we weren't going in the parks. For me, nothing was ever said, and I honestly didn't give it a thought. It will be happening again this year. I assume you just have to have a valid AP upon check in, unless this is something they have changed.

I would like to know this as well. Our will expire during the middle of our trip. I would like to stay at POP from 05/12 - 05/17 and then transfer to AKL on the 17 and stay there from 05/17 - 05/21 even though our Ap expire on the 17th. So my AP will expire THE DAY I am not trying to cheat the system so will pay rack rate if need be

Since my original post, I have decided that we are definitely going so now I need to get serious. I do plan on booking over the phone, so I will discuss this with the CM. After reading the response from msslaydbug, I just realized that I will be making two reservations also, as we are staying 13 days. My ap will be expired for the second reservation. I guess I'm going to have to renew my ap after all, but not until I know if they will be offering AP discounts for when I'm going. If there are no discounts, I'll probably have to shorten the trip by a few days and then I'm back to square one... whether or not the AP rate would be good for the whole stay since it will expire. Yikes-its a vicious cycle.
