What if you can't make the final payment?

I'm not sure where to put this, so I'm just going to put it here. What happens if you can't make your final payment on a package? The due date for paying our package is the end of this month for our trip in March. We'll make it, but it will be tight. This got me to wonder what would happen if we weren't able to scrape together the funds by the end of the month. Would we just loose all the money we've already paid to AAA, or does that get refunded?

It all depends on YOUR package rules.

You should really know these things before you ever START a transaction (you never KNOW what might happen).

There are things like "trip insurance" that can be applied to certain transactions, but not AFTER the fact.

i booked thru disney and they gave me a couple weeks extra to pay my balance since i had paid most of it. call and ask

And I don't think trip insurance would cover this situation anyway.

I had booked through disney, I had a tight money problem at the time ours was due also. So following some advice I had found here I called and explained what had happened and then I removed my 7 day park hoppers for each of us. I had to leave on a single park ticket (i.e. 1 day) for each of us to keep our package. That made the money diff. Then in a couple of weeks I added back on the 7 day park hoppers and paid for it with my debit card. But she did offer to extend me for a week when I first called and changed the tickets.
