a sneek peek. I won an award, a baby was born, I saved a celebrity from the paparazi, ended up at the first aid center and so much more happened on this trip, you sure you want to pass this TR up? Just read on, you won't regret it.
Now to begin.........
Sometimes just picking a title for a TR is the hardest part. A title needs to encompass or pretty much give a short summary of the trip itself, but there were so many choices, a few of them are....
1. She got boogered on her first trip to Disney!
2. You're not a total yanger.
3. That's one gross turkey leg.
4. It was a smokin trip!!!
5. REALLY?!! I mean REALLY?! Dude it's Disney!!!
6. where's the dang flammet duck?
I'm still not totally thrilled with my TR title choice, but I have got to get this report going. I mean the world according to some is going to end in 2012! so with no further delay I will begin....
Meet me, Ty
I will be the teller of this tale. It's a good tale too.
I will begin with I was born into the Disney world in April of 2006, it only took one glimpse of the castle to know that my life would never be the same. My life and everyones around me had changed, mine for the better, others not so much, they get to hear about my love for Disney constantly, every conversation, television show, song, food, whatever always somehow for me resorts back to Disney, I can create 6 degrees of separation starting with an onion and still manage to bring it back to Disney. It's a gift, don't be jealous! that's what I tell them, I would never tell anyody here on the Dis to not be jealous of my gift, because you all have the gift too. Can I get an AMEN?!
This was my 3rd trip to Disney, my dates were Dec 3-11th, my birthday being the 9th. You don't age at Disney, that is why I have celebrated 2 birthdays there!!! The other time being in Dec of 2007.
This trip came about unexpectedly, only because I could not find anybody to go with me, then when I asked my mother, (A Disney virgin) if she would like to go, she unexpectedly said yes.
Meet my Mother
Pixie is her name, quiltting is her game, so is spoiling her grandchildren with love, and writing beautiful fart songs to Disney tunes. It's her gift, don't be jealous.
Mom, is the taller one in this picture, and very seldom do I get to say Momis the taller one, she is 5ft 2 in. I gave her an extra half inch on account of her orthodics. She is a sweet woman, a sensitive lady, very inquisitive, always ready to try something new, and most important a constant in my life. She is my wingman, not in the sense of she helps me pick up guys, that would be wrong because I am a very married lady, but she is my wingman in the sense that I find refuge in the shelter of her mothering wings, we hav our moments, we get huffy with eachother, but isn't that normal in all mom/daughter relationships, I love her, that's all I can say, even when I beotch about her I still love her. Anywhoo, back to the story, Mom said yes to DIsney and asked if she could bring her friend Janis, Janis loves Disney and hasn't been in many many moons, so I of course said yes. Janis is the other lady in this picture.
I fell in love with little Janis on this trip, I wanted to pack her in my suitcase and bring her home with me. I had only met her once before this trip, it was years ago at a quilt thing my Mom dragged me too. I didn't really remember her at all, I just knew that she was one of my mom's dearest friends. I got to know her well on this trip, she is a little spitfire and many times had me laughing to the point of pain. A sweet sweet lady with a devilish grin I should say.
So when I thought things over I didn't want to be the 3rd wheel, I had then asked my sister Bo to go, she is my OLDER sister, I am the YOUNGER sister, by 2 years I am YOUNGER and she is OLDER. My brother says that I am the funny sister who thinks she is smart and Bo is the smart sister who thinks she is funny, and it's sad, because I want to be the smart one and she wants to be the funny one. I think she's funny though. Anyway, she couldn't make it due to work and school. So I thought about who I could ask and it came to me, My BFF Maurie
Here is the story of Maurie, or as I call her Marzi,
I will try to make this a short background update on a story that I know is going to be long.
I met Marzi in 5th grade in El Paso Tx.
I'm on the left with the shoes on my ears, serioulsy do not question that , I have no answer for it.
we became BFF's and stayed inseparable until I moved away the summer before 8th grade. (I was an Army brat) We kept in touch for a while, but eventually we did lose track of eachother, I had moved to Michigan, then Germany, then FLorida, Germany again, Minnesota and then back to Texas, but by then she being an Army brat herself had also moved, I always wondered what had happened to her, I never had another friend as beautiful as her. I never shared a friendship so deep with anybody else either. I got married, had kids, got divorced, remarried all without my kindred spirit, I looked for her all the time, spent money on those bogus 1800 search or find a friend scams, I was sent 100's of pages of MM Jordens. One day a a couple summers ago on a whim I type her name into Myspace, 3 popped up and one of them was her, I sent an e-mail and viola, a friendship restored, we spent hours on the phone catching up, made plans to meet and they always fell through, so when I called her with the idea of meeting at DIsney I didn't get my hopes up. But she said yea, we had a few hurtles along the way, each of us battling something tryin gto prevent this trip, but we all overcame and it turned out to be a trip that only Disney magic could provide. Meeting Marzi again after 25 years was special in itself, but having Disney be the first time seeing eachother after so many years, can you imagine the magic? Plus Mom had never been to Disney, newbies kind of bring an extra magic with them.
I can't wait to tell you all about this trip.
I had a couple of Dis meets, some planned, some not. By far I will say this has been the best Disney experience yet, It was cold, it rained, I was in pain, we had lost luggage, but I will stand by my words, this was the best trip!!
Stay tuned, I have a whole lot of trip tellin for ya. And alot of pictures to share.
