Hello! I had originally planned to be at WDW on Feb. 12 - 15. We decided to add an extra day if we can to take advantage of the last day of the $55 rate at Pop Century. How DH tells me he can't get away on Wednesday as planned, so we have to wait and drive down Thurday morning the 12th. If I don't check in, but go ahead and pay for the 11th, will they give my room away?

Why don't you call CRO and cancel that day? Not sure how Disney handles that but other hotels you would be considered a no show and charged for that day and your reservation cancelled.

I am trying to keep my $55 rate, which ends Feb. 11. Does anyone know how much Pop Century is during peak season? Okay, I just looked, its 107. By just letting them charge me, but not cancel me, I'd be saving $101. Does anyone know what they will do if I call and let them know for sure that same week? Keep in mind I want to be charged for that first night at $55, keeping my rate!

Call them and tell them your problem. If you don't show they will cancel your reservation. When you show up on the 12th you will be charged the higher rate, if they have rooms available.

You really do need to call them and find out. You don't want to end up in a mess when you could have called ahead of time to find out what would happen.

When I heard about someone else trying to do this, I mentioned it to my TA since our trip starts on Holiday Season, and the day before is value(or regular, I forget, but I know its a lot cheaper). Anyway, my TA told me they couldnt do that because Disney would treat us as a no show and probably give our room away. Thank God those AP rates came out! ;)

question, have you already pre-paid for your trip? If you have you may be okay. Just call and tell them you have been delayed and will be showing up a day late.

Since, I prepaid my ressie... On my confirmation it says.. guaranteed late arrival. I dont think they can give away your room, if you already paid for it.

Let me know what you find out. I am in the same situation. We were going to arrive on 2/11 (the last day of the ap rate) and have prepaid our 4 night stay at $49 per night, but now our plans have changed and we won't be arriving until 2/12 at which the rate increases to around $109 per night.
