Just got home from WDW this evening. Standing in the Alamo line last Saturday after arrival there was a gentleman in front of me, using what I can only imagine was the Vroom Vroom code based on the conversation.
He gave the clerk his printed off reservation and the clerk at the desk told him he was not eligible to use his code because it was for international visitors only and specifically mentioned the insurance but I couldn't hear exactly what she said about the insurance.
He told her if the code was not valid for US drivers then the website shouldn't have let him book it because it had his US address; that if other codes were not valid based on the information, the website told you they were not valid codes. He also asked her to show him where it said that code was for international visitors only.
She looked for a while, but apparently couldn't find it but continued to tell him he couldn't use it. He asked for her supervisor, When the supervisor came to the desk, he told the clerk to let the code go through because she couldn't show them where that restriction was listed and if she couldn't find it, how was the customer supposed to know about it. He also agreed that the website should not allow it, if the customer is not eligible to use it.
In the end, the customer did get the price and the added insurance, but just a warning to others that you may not be allowed to use it or may at least have a problem with it.
