I am very fortuante to say that I had the most specatacular Christmas ever. Although I did get a trip to Disney as a present, as well as some very nice things....Christmas was not about the presents, the tree, what you have to do and where you have to go this year for me. Maybe it was because we decided not to put up a tree, decided not to go crazy with baking, decided and could not afford to buy that gifts that I normally do and did not have anywhere special to go, that I was able to see Christmas for what it really is..... a very special day. This year, I spent 2 days with a man that I really love, I spent time via the phone with family that lived far away and time via the phone with his family who was vacationing at Disney. We had a great two days. There were no pressures to feel bad about presents that weren't bought, ( I have not worked since October due to an ankle injury...and the money was just not there) my family understood and they were happy with the small things I got them. I think they were happy to be remebered. There were no pressures to cook a big fancy meal. The turkey in the oven was done by three and we were happy not to fuss over a big meal, and it was a very tasty turkey. No tree to take down....and for the first time ever, we had some neighbors drop by to visit and exchange small gifts. I have to say, my favorite gift this year has truly been the gift of friendship and love. I hope all of you got to share that gift on some level. I have a feeling Christmas will never be the same for me again, as this was a very special time, and I am quite sure I have learned one of the best lessons I will ever learn in life. Wishing you a very Happy and blessed New Year,
Liz
