What hotel for small kids?

First, a little background. I'm going to WDW next August with family, but my DH and older DS will be staying in a house with their teammates. I've never really stayed onsite much and was wondering on your opinions for the best hotels for little kids. I'll be staying with my DS 8 and DD 4 by myself for part of the time. I may have a car (my sister lives in Tampa), and I can probably swing either a value or moderate. I'm not sure I can tackle parks without backup help, so am wondering about best pools, playgrounds, food courts, etc. for smaller ones. We may be "hanging" out alot. Any suggestions?:cheer2:

We spent a lot of time at POFQ and loved it. My daughter is 2. Kids of all ages were having a blast in the pool, and the playground was perfect for the 8 and under crowd.

The food court had plenty of kids choices and they gave out mardi gras beads and coins to throw in the fountain. The lobby is right near the food court and they can sit in little rockers and watch cartoons, or color at a table. Also in the food court there was a table set up with legos and crayons and coloring pages.

The courtyard outside the food court and lobby was great because I could let her walk around on her own and not worry about her. At POR I would have worried about the river all the time. FQ was set up with the river at the far end, it seemed much safer to me with a little one.

You could also easily take the boat to DTD with the two of them. There is SOOO much for them to look at at DTD. And more eating choices too.

Another vote for POFQ. The small size alone makes it fantastic for travelling with small kids - it's the smallest of the mods, about half the size of the others. You'll also love the pool, the food court, the boat to DTD, getting to use the POR pool too, being the first on and off the bus, and the theming of the resort is really, really pretty. It's a wonderful place to walk around at night when the streetlights are lit and bunnies abound, and you can also take the carriage ride or just sit outside and enjoy some warm beignets. :thumbsup2

If it were me, I'd stay at Coronado Springs, because I like the theme there and they have an elevator.

But the kids would probably prefer one of the All Star hotels, so if you want to sacrifice for them, go there.

We love CSR! My DS's loved it last year! They are 4 & 8 and we are going back. CSR has great transportation, food and pool!:cool1:

We loved All Star Movies, but POFQ also has the river boat ride to Downtown Disney, which is really exciting for the kids.
