What have you given away?

This might not count since I live in Orlando. Over the past two years, I've given away about 30 gift baskets to folks visiting WDW and sent about 20 stuffed animals to sick kids I heard about on the DIS. It was a lot of fun and very rewarding.

We have made up pixie packs to give to disers at POP the same time as us. We are also going to give away glowsticks. :thumbsup2 I think the Disney dollars story is wonderful, you probably restored faith in humanity for at least the mother, how thoughtful!

We've given away - unused diapers, pool floats, beach balls, and on the last trip, 2 passes to Busch Gardens. Two people in our group got sick so we gave their tickets away at the front gate of the park (the tickets were prepurchased and had an expiration date) . I don't think they believed us and looked a little hesitant to use them going in. I think they made sure we got in 'safely' first! We've also given away the occasional band-aid and neosporin!!

light sticks. :yay:
we had an extra CS meal on our meal plan. on our last day, we purchased a lunch for someone in line. fast passes. :)

We were there this past July 2 to 7 we gave away

7 FP at MGM for Indiana Jones

4 FP at MGM for RNR

a stroller

4 fanny packs

2 big bags unopened doritos

left extra little bottles of shampoo and unopened little soaps in comfort station

we always try to give our stroller away when we leave the parks, people are thrilled to get it, had 2 families almost fighting for it in ak, last week, yikes.

At the parks, I have given away pins and fast passes. At home, we have helped out the Bert's Big Adventure charity with a lanyard filled with pins for each of the kids going on the trip to WDW over the last 3 years. I could never have done this without the MANY helpful donations of pin traders from around the world that have helped us with this project. Almost a hundred kids have been spoiled in the past 3 years. These kids would never have gone to WDW without the charity. We've given away...

A peg perego stroller
Fast Passes
Lots of food..chips, beer, juice
Stickers
Cards with different Dis lover websites..like this one

Lots of advice...if I overhear a conversation where people need info about the Dis then I will politely offer my advice/knowledge. Most people are shocked but grateful!

I like the glow stick idea...gotta do that this time!

Definitely fastpasses. If we haven't used them, I always hand them to someone else. It amazes me how some people look at me sideways for offereing, though. It's Disney people - be friendly!
hi
we tried to give some fastpasses for splash mountain, your right people do look at you a bit suspiciously!

When we went to WDW with a friend and her 3 boys, we had bought them each a Mickey Antenna head, on the way out of the parks...we gave them each one, and told them to find a car with out of state plates and put the mickey head on the antenna. They had a great time choosing the "right" car.

On our honeymoon we left some snacks and sodas in our room with a note to housekeeping to enjoy, and on our trip in June we left some groceries in the condo for the housekeeping/maintenance staff. Oh, and dish detergent for the next guests.

We always try to find someone coming in to give our Unofficial Guide to. I buy a new one everytime, so I like to give it to newbies.

At WDW we gave 5 FPs for Test Track, to a family arriving on the bus. They were thrilled!

Each summer when we visit the USA we stay in the same hotel in Houston. I always leave my extra booze and the novels I've finished while there. Now I'm known there for doing this. I wonder if they fight over who gets to do our final cleaning.

We almost always have FP to give away since DH doesn't do the RnR, ToT or MS. I usually sit out with him and the kids go on the attraction. If they don't want to do a repeat ride with our FPs, I look for a couple to give them to.

We also give glow necklaces and bracelets away at the night time events. On our last trip, DD and I were returning to the Poly from Fantasmic! and we gave away the ones that we were wearing to some little girls on our overcrowded bus. At least their parents were able to see where they were on the dark bus.

A few years back, I had 2 $50 GCs for "The Kitchen" at the Hard Rock Hotel in Universal Studios. I had gotten them for only a few dollars each from a radio station promotion. Only one GC could be used per party. Our meal there was so horrible that I gave the second GC to another family that was dining there when we were. To say that they were flabbergasted would be an understatement.

We also donate regularly to Give Kids the World. It's a resort located outside of WDW which is designed for the use of families of children with life-threatening illnesses.
