what have you forgotten to take with you on vacation?

my entire suitcase nearly one year
That happened to us one time as well for a short trip. Our ride to the airport came a bit early and as we were scrambling around to finish a few last minute things I had asked my DH to grab my suitcase from upstairs. I had thought he took everything out and in the rush forgot to ask. I found out when we got to the airport it was not there. Luckily my DM packed extra and we are about the same size so could share with her for the most part but had to buy a few things at the hotel.

Socks, one vacation.
Toothpaste this weekend for a 2 night trip.

LOL....my wedding ring. We were headed for a Disney cruise and stayed the night before at one of the resorts. I went and bought a Mickey ring and wore that.
(should mention, I never wear my wedding ring when in my house, so just skipped by that step)

Would you believe youngest DS’s underwear? :D Do you know how much underwear costs at a wdw resort? :joker:

A marathon up and back down Pikes Peak and I left my run shoes next to the bag I packed. Apparently they were supposed to go in last, but I just zipped the bag up with the shoes sitting nice and pretty next to it.

When DS was a toddler we picked him up and placed him in his car seat for a stay with relatives a few hours away. He was sleepy before we left and slept the entire ride until we went to get him out of the car WITHOUT any shoes. Had to make a quick trip to Wal-Mart. Some of our relatives still bring up that day for a good laugh. 😄

Cannot recall any bad left-behinds, but I'll empty the entire back of the car if going to the airport so it's clear EVERYTHING in the back of the car needs to go with us. I can't tell you how many times I've been Holding my phone and freaked out I left it behind. Seems to be a common worry. Speaking of phones, I keep old phones to charge and give to the kids to take photos, if they lose or drop it, no biggie, since it's striped of everything but that function. I just download the photos later.

I can believe it as I did the same with DD several years ago and also had to hit the gift shop to buy a couple of packs of underwear for her.

my shoes. got all the way to security at the departing airport before i realized i was still wearing my ratty garage slippers :scared1: first stop in b.c. was a mall department store.

I usually never forget anything but I did a few years ago. I bought one of those beach wagons to put all our stuff in. It was in the box at our front door and we just overlooked it. Luckily the house we were renting had one so it wasn’t a big deal. When we got home I just returned it and got my money back so it worked out.

Insulin needles, twice. Was flying to Denver from an airport an hour from home. Got up the morning of the flight, went to take my shot and realized I left all my needles sitting at home on the bathroom counter. First stop after we landed was a Sam's Club for a box. Flew to Columbus, GA for a softball tournament last year and did almost the same thing. Got to the hotel, realized that I didn't have any needles and had to find a ride to the nearest pharmacy to buy a box.

Mine was not quite that bad, but I wear Fit Flops around the house instead of house shoes. We were in Juneau, Alaska and running latw for our 12 hour boat tour to a glacier. I forgot to put real shoes on and wore my Fit Flops for the day. :rolleyes1

Back in the day, I forgot my ticket for an event I was attending. Fortunately it was all general admission and not sold out so I was able to buy a new one.
