What have I missed - help with ADRs

We are coming to WDW in August for 16 nights (yay). We are on the dining plan and have made a load of ADRs, but I was wondering if we have missed anything special, particularly Kona. We ae staying at Port Orleans so comments on boatwrights would also be appreciated. I only have experience of a couple of character meals so any ideas welcome. There will be 3 children (9,8,5) so I am not sure we can do anything "too" grown up. Heres my list.

I like everything you picked, especially Boma twice. I wasn't all that wowed by the Kona and I wouldn't give up something that you have for it. I would try to get in a breakfast at the Cape May Cafe. It's my favorite character breakfast. I've heard mixed reviews of Breakfastosaurus, but I haven't been there myself, so I can't give a first-hand review.

If you really want to try Kona, there's plenty of room in your schedule. I'm surprised to see that three of the restaurants you're eating at twice. You must really love those places. Boatrights is nothing special, IMO. If you want to eat there for the convenience that's one thing. Otherwise, I don't think you should plan it into your itinerary.

If you're looking at switching out a double, I'd recommend the Garden Grille at the land in Epcot. it's a family style character meal with EXCELLENT food, and big bonus (to me at least) the booths are situated in such a way you don't feel like you're surrounded by other diners. it's the most quiet and relaxing character meal I've ever been to, the characters (Mickey, Chip, Dale, and Pluto or Goofy) spent a lot of time at the tables, and the servers were wonderful. Not to mention the food is superb and the children's offerings were great for picky eaters.

We just stayed at PO-R and ate breakfast at Boatwrights one time. Very good food (but like any TS a little pricy for breakfast). Try their specialties.

Personally, we did not like either Le Cellier (worst food we ever had at WDW) or Rose & Crown (the fruit and cheese sampler is VERY good though). We would choose Chefs de France over either of those.

Good to see a great comment on Garden Grill. Our favorite restaurant for both of our trips to WDW. Great food and definitely the least hectic. Tried Boma on our last visit and wasn't really impressed. Heard great things about the Squash soup and it was good...but didn't find anything else that great.

Also ate at Kona, food was good (DW really liked it)...not too busy and the service was good. And with the dining plan (appetizer/meal/dessert), you get way too much food.

We were not impressed with Crystal Palace or Chef Mickeys. Both were very crowded and hectic. Can't say much about Chef Mickey's food, we had breakfast and they had all the usuals which were good. Food at Crystal palace was nothing special and the character interaction wasn't as good as other places. It was good to see the Pooh gang but the place is big and you will most likely only get one chance to see them.

Liberty Tree Tavern was good. We went there for lunch. Not too crowded and you get loads of food. We were on the dining plan as well and by the time you order an appetizer, meal, and dessert, you probably only need to order 2 meals to feed your family of 5.

We doubled up on some restaurants because we were running out of ideas. We only have experience of eating at Crystal Palace and Chef Mickeys. I think we will try and swap a "double" for Garden Grill.

Does anyone else have any thoughts?

I notice you don't have anything on the Boardwalk. Spoodles and Flying Fish are both very good. If you have some sports fans in your family, you may enjoy ESPN Club.

The Boardwalk is a very easy stroll or boat ride from Epcot and a nice break. The kids may enjoy the games and the entertainers.

Also, I didn't see a lunch at MGM. We enjoy 50's and Mama Melrose a lot.

Someone mentioned the character breakfast at Cape May... I second that! We really like it and have found it not as hectic as other character meals. I would go there instead of Chef Mickey's twice.

There are so many great restaurants to eat at WDW, I would not repeat places unless you are absolutly crazy about them. Instead of Wolfgang Puck's twice, you could try Earl of Sandwich. Instead of 'Ohana twice, how about Kona Cafe or Grand Floridian Cafe?

All of them look good, but I would add Boatwrights, Spoodles, Cape MAy Cafe (character in the morning), and Beaches and Cream , (Beaches and Cream doesn't accept ADRs though)
