I have just managed to book the Eurostar, plus Holiday Inn, for myself and DD (15) to arrive on Boxing Day, for two nights!!!

DH forced me into it, honest! :rotfl2:

We are already booked for Easter, but I know DD would love to go at Christmas, so this will be her Christmas present, and she knows nothing about it!!! (well she hinted, but I told her it was out of the question, too expensive, bla bla).

I tried for a Disney Hotel, but everything was booked except for one-nighters, or the NBC 29th - 31st. I think the HI will do us as it is just the two nights, and we have the direct train back, so can maximise the trip that way!

We are going to keep this a complete secret until Christmas Day, when DH will present us with printed out confirmations :thumbsup2 I'm afraid you lot are going to have to manage my excitement

I can't even risk a ticker

Oh wow - that's so exciting! :santa: :santa:
However will you keep it quiet? You must be bursting with keeping it in.
:ssst: :ssst: :ssst:

Fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are going on 27th for 2 nights and havent told DD either. We are also going to tell her on Christmas Day (we're travelling down to Ashford on boxing Day)
She has been asking if we can go at Christmas so have also told her its too expensive as we're going at Easter and maybe we'll see for next year.

Its so exciting isnt it.

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

see you there.

How exciting for you! :yay:

We will be in the HI too (23rd-30th). Its was lovely there last Xmas, so I am sure you will have wonderful time despite not being on site.

That's a very good question, it's not going to be easy!

Fancy a stowaway ;)

Sorry, but our room has a maximum of 2 persons (plus 'mascots' I guess :cutie: )

We are now in exactly the same situation! I was thinking about how to break it to her, I thought of buying her the most boring present a teenager could wish for, then 'wrapping' it in printed off copies of confirmations and then on Christmas morning DH and I can keep saying that it's not always the present that counts, but what it's wrapped in...

How exciting for you! :yay:

So, we will all be there on 27th/28th December (we don't leave until 7pm on 28th), anyone fancy meeting up?

I'll be there with my daughter too from 23 Dec to 27 Dec but she does know!

At very nearly 17 she asked me the other day if Santa would find her :rotfl2:so I'm now looking for a mini "Santa Please Stop Here" sign to put outside the hotel door :cutie:

Oh wow, our daughters are almost the same age!

Where are you staying, if you don't mind my asking?

I've been reading up a little about Christmas at DLRP, it sounds awesome, DD loves Beauty and The Beast, so Belle's Village looks like it will be well worth a visit!

I haven't paid much attention to Christmas posts on here, seems like I need to now that we are going :rotfl:

We have kept our trip as a surprise for our daughter, who is 6! DH has made up some "tickets" saying Mickay and Minnie have invited her to stay for Xmas and I have a bought a small box and ribbon to put them in. We are going to put them through the letter box to make it look as though they have come in the post and address it to her. I am soooo excited - we are doing it on 9 December as I can't wait any longer and have been trying to organise the trip and being sneaky since August without her knowing, which is hard when she is so nosey and hears everything!!!:rotfl2:

Our DD is very astute too, she will pick up on anything, she probably heard me on the phone last night to Disney! That's not a problem though, if she asks I shall tell her the truth, I called them to find out about hotel availability, but all they could offer was the NBC, and apart from not wanting to go on those dates, I don't think the train availability was so good. Hopefully she should assume the idea has been shelved completely :rolleyes1

As I booked it all on-line she won't have overheard any further conversations, I couldn't even risk having the Eurostar tickets delivered here, we will have to pick them up at the station :)

DD probably wouldn't fall for a parcel arriving by post, unless it had a French stamp on it, I would welcome any suggestions for a boring present for a teenager though.... so far I've only thought of a dishcloth or something housework related.

Good for you Annette, what a lucky daughter you have :) We have just come back a week ago and Disneyland is just beautifully done up for Christmas ! I loved the music they played everywhere, especially the Chante, C'est Noel song :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes! I want to go back so badly, and am just this morning beginning to fantasize about March :cloud9: although that is a bit sooner than I had originally thought.

Disneyland was Just Like We Dreamed it would be :cloud9:
:tinker: Merry Christmas!

Oooooh lucky Christmas DD's (and mums ;) ) - I'm very jealous. You will be blown away with all the Christmas stuff at DLRP!

Actually, I feel I am the lucky one, most 15 year old youngsters seem to do nothing but fall out with their Mums. Mine just wants to go to Disneyland with her Mum all the time, that's not to say we don't have our moments, but we are very close!

Okay, I managed to sort out a spoof ticker. If DD stumbles on this she will think nothing of it, since my birthday is actually on Christmas Day anyway!!!

Again, I haven't lied, I really will be celebrating that day :thumbsup2

What a fab idea, I hope I'm that close with my daughter when she's 15, long way to go as shes only 18 mths at the mo :rolleyes1 .

Just a though for a really boring present, how about some school related books! Something really boring and that probably most kids of that age hate, I know I did!!!!

Annette you give me hope that my DD will also still be wanting to come to DLRP with her mum when she's 15. I certainly hope so, otherwise who am I going to take? Hmmm maybe my nephews will have children by that time :rotfl: .

Elaine

Believe me Kazdudds, those years will pass all too quickly :sad2:

Great idea about the book, especially if it's a maths book! :rotfl:

Though actually she thought I was really 'sad' the other day when I was looking at some books I remembered from when I was small, so maybe I'll look for something like that. Food for thought :goodvibes

You would think that by now she would be wanting to go with her friends, instead of her Mum, do you think she's odd? :confused3

She says I am more fun than her friends though :hippie:

Yeah, and I bet she doesn't feel the need to act cool around you at DLRP, she can be a big kid all the time she's there!

Elaine

You should see us when we are there Elaine, no actually, you wouldn't want to, you'd wish you'd never met us :rotfl:

Seriously, we're sensible 'children' really, and it's great mum/daughter bonding.

Come to think of it, we had a pretty good break away in Lille last year, okay it wasn't Disneyland Paris, but it was still very special as we did a lot of talking!
