I have been planning my March trip since October. ADRs are made and the itinerary is set, all details are in stone.

Yesterday my DS and fiancee announce they want to come down for a few days while I am there during the week of March 12 and would I help plan it?

WHAT????? You are deciding 8 days out that you want to go to Disney during one of the busiest times of the year?

So, this is what I did.....

They are on a different airline, but flight times are similar to ours going down.
I immediately got on the AP site and couldn't find anything available so called CRO. A very nice CM found me an AP rate for three nights at CSR ($111 per night - same as the value rack rate). I snatched it. Now I have to figure out how I am going to check them in at CSR when I am checking myself and my mom and sister in at Wilderness Lodge! (I will need to do that won't I? Since I booked with my AP discount?)

I told them about DME and that they need to make a reservation ASAP. I don't think they will get their luggage tags in time, but we will try!

After 3 nights at WDW they are going to rent a car and drive up to Jacksonville where they are moving in July. I told them about the onsite car rental places and suggested they make a reservation ASAP.

I will also need to change a couple ADRs - hopefully I can add them to mine without difficulty.

Anyway....a last minute trip to WDW can be done, it's just a total violation of all my obsessive compulsive planning principles.

I will need that 2nd week at OKW to recover from this stress.

My family does this too me all the time. That why this trip NO ONE knows about it. Just me and DH. We will pick DD up from school and head to the airport. For once I am being selfish in my plans and only including MY family.
It was great of you to go through all that extra effort to help them out. I hope the appreciate it. Hoping you have a great trip. Oh and as for the AP check in if the ressie is in your name then you need to check them in. But if it's not then they can check themselves in and they will be asked to come back and show the AP sometime during the stay. But w/ all the times I've checked in w/ my AP I've yet to be asked to show it. That doesn't mean they won't though!

This is exactly what happened with our trip week of March 12! Only its my DD and Sil. I have all the arrangements worked out except the ADRs. Unforunately you can't just "add on" to an exsiting ADR. You have to make new ADRs to reflect the increase number. I was pretty lucky and only had to compromise on our CG ADR with a later time then I had originally wanted. Good luck. Good luck with this planning!

Do you mind if I ask, what is an AP discount?

Annual Passholder Discounts. By having annual passes you can save on WDW resort accomodations as well as get dining discounts etc.
