What happens with my ADR's if we have to postpone our vacation by a day?

Our 6 month window opens up in a few days. Right now we have reservations for Saturday to Saturday in March. The flight prices on that first day are HIGH right now, though. There is a decent chance that we will have to change our trip to Sun-Sat.

Will that mess up our ADR's? I am planning on making reservations for places like Le Cellier and CM's, and I am sure that I would not be able to get those in a few months.

Hey, I see you're from Indiana as well. We'll be at WDW from March 25-April 1 (Sunday-Sunday). I, also, have been looking at those horrible airfares! Our dilemma is that DD18 can't leave early due to a State Speech Tournament on Saturday in Indy. So, we are stuck with either driving and heading out from Indy as soon as she is finished on Saturday night, or flying out of Indy on Sunday (hopefully morning). I am praying for the Sunday morning flights to get more reasonable.

I would just not make any ADR's for Saturday or go with a late ADR on Sunday night.

I've got 2 days to get my ADR's in line and I am freaking out, too!

:flower3: Good luck!

We are going the same week!!!

I am looking at Southwest.... flying out of Louisville. The flight times are HORRIBLE or crazy expensive. For all other carriers the cheapest right now is $450 a person!

My main concern is that if I change my reservation that it will cancel out my ADR's and I would have to start all over again. Does anyone know if that is true?

You won't have to start all over. You would only have to worry about the days you are forced to change.

Make the reservations for the days you know you will be there, and do your arrival/departure day ADRs once you have your flight plans in place.

And I can't stress this enough...DON'T PLAN YOUR VACATION AROUND DISNEY RESTAURANTS!!! None of them are that spectacular.

We are going same week- 24th-31st (sat.-sat.). Just make reservations and you can just cancel the day you dont want. It wont automatically cancel all of them. Make your "good" reservations for later in the week just in case- those will be gone in a week.

Is it possible to fly a day earlier? Fridays are probably more expensive, but you never know.

I know this year it cost $100 more to fly on Thursday morning than on Wednesday. I just booked a room only and it cost a bit less than the flight difference and we get to WDW a day earlier.

It won't make any difference to your ADR's if you cancel one or move your resort reservation dates around. Just make sure your favorite ADR's are on dates you know you will be at WDW.

Can you make your must-have ADRs for during the week when you know you'll be there? For example, Le Cellier for Monday and Chef Mickey's for Tuesday?? Then make the more disposable ADRs on the weekends which are iffy for your travel dates.

I am a teacher, so leaving on Friday would not be an option for us. It would put us into Orlando too late with two little boys. Our tradition is to eat at Chef Mickey's the night we arrive. I may just go ahead and make an ADR for Saturday and Sunday night at CM's and then just cancel the Saturday if we have to arrive a day later.

Thanks for the advice! :thumbsup2
