You need to take out the spaces around the [ ] for it to work though. If I took out the spaces near the brackets, it would not be visible for you to see what I did.

Correct. or instead of typing, click the

button in the reply header, then paste the web address into the pop up window. THen hit enter. after that a section will be highlighted and you can type whatever name or description for your link.

I never knew what that icon was for. Thanks. In the old days I used html with < > and then bulletin boards went to [ ] instead of html. I remember the old chat rooms with the commands < Blink > etc. That's about my extent of html coding.

Sorry, Smiley.........this is the tutorial for how to make a linky, practice linky site. You are just going to have to keep catching up on the random site. The REAL linky is on page 203. OCD's have to practice linkys before showing off to their friends!
