It looks like the trip we're interested in might be canceled by Disney. What would happen if the trip was canceled?

Would we get our money back? Would we get some sort of ABD voucher for another trip? Also, is there a difference if we booked with Dreams Unlimited vs. calling Disney ourselves? Do DU folks get a voucher and direct calls get money back?

If ABD cancels an Adventure, you will get a full refund.

When a guest books through Dreams Unlimited Travel, all charges to the credit card are made to and by Disney.

Dreams Unlimited Travel does not charge for our services and never charges your credit card.

There is no difference when booking through Dreams Unlimited Travel and Adventures By Disney except for the fact that the reservation lists Dreams Unlimited Travel as your agent and you get a booking discount.

If you have booked through Dreams Unlimited Travel and ABD cancels your Adventure, your money would be refunded to the card used, just as if you booked through ABD.

Dreams Unlimited Travel never has control of or holds your money.

When our trip to Egypt was canceled in 2011, Disney was really great about all the details. They offered either a full refund or we could book another trip. We had only paid the deposit at that time, but we had purchased air on our own. Disney was able to put us on the China trip, our choice, but they weren't able to give us the date we wanted as it was already full. Disney offered to pay all change fees associated with the air even though we booked it ourselves. They also said they would pay the fees even if we used those tickets for some other trip and not the Disney trip. Luckily, the flights were canceled by the airline and our money was refunded, so no one had to pay any change fees.

To the OP, just to be clear....

ABD would have done this for all of the guests booked on that trip and needing assistance...regardless of who booked your reservation.
