We reserved the Fantasmic Dinner Package for next week and the long range weather forcast predicts rain .
Does anyone know if you are still obligated to go to the dinner if its raining and Fantasmic will most likely be cancelled? I believe you are supposed to give 48 hours notice to cancel, but I don't want to be stuck having to do the dinner if plans change due to bad weather.

This new policy is why I refuse to do the package anymore. If you don't cancel, they will charge your credit card.

I've heard, though, that if you eat and it does rain and get canceled they will give you a voucher for another night.

I made PS for Fantasmic at Hollywood and Vine yesterday. We will be meeting up with some friends so I made the booking for all 10 of us. The CM I spoke with told me I have 48 hr prior to my reservation to cancel or pay a $10 fee per person for adult and $5 fee per child for not showing up. The CM also said that if I canceled less than 48 hr prior to my reservation I still have to pay the $10 per person fee adult and $5 per child. If it rains the CM told me I would still get a voucher for Fantasmic but if Fantasmic is canceled due to the rain then I would get a voucher for a different night veiwing. Is this clear as muddy water?

I went ahead a booked it. If it is raining we will still have a nice visit and dinner to boot. It was only $19.99 for 12 years/up and $9.99 for 3 to 11 years. It is the same price if you don't book Fantasmic at Hollywood and Vine. The other two restaurant is higher in price so I think they do an average of what prices is on the menu. But just my oppinion.

We watched Fantasmic in the drizzle.
Still a nice show. Wear your Mickey poncho's.
No umbrella's. Bring a plastic bag for your camera and
wallet.

WDW cancells for thunder and lightening- not just a drizzle.

Also, wear shoes you do not mind getting wet.
Better yet- bring an extra pair of sneakers with you.

When the show is over, do not be in a rush to get out.
You'll just be walking in a crowd which pushes and shoves.
Transportation will be there to take you back to your resort.
Most MGM stores close to the exit, are still open.

Hey, you are in WDW :) , enjoy the magic - even in the rain !

How far in advance can you book a fantasmic package now? used to be just a few days prior and they were very hard to get, also you had to do it from the resort.

Thanks, MKY :D

Look at this thread located above for more info: Fantasmic Package Changes

I believe it's 2 months out?? You call from home. They take a CC and will charge it if you don't cancel within 48 hours.

Okay - I thought they told me in January when I almost (but changed my mind after I heard this) booked this package....that this is prepaid.....meaning it goes right on your credit card.

Tell me that is not true because I dont want to pay for a meal today that I wont be having until August....wont do it!!!

Thanks!!!!

I booked my Aug 3 Fantasmic dinner at H&V exactly 60 days prior the other day. The CM on the phone told me that they just need the CC# to hold the reservation, but will not charge anything. I can pay cash after the dinner if I want to. They will charge the no-show fee on the CC if I don't show up with no 48-hr notice, though.
