What happens to dining credits after switching resorts/reservation on split stay?

Question-
we have a one night stay with DxDDP before we switch over to our other reservation at another hotel also with the DxDDP. Question is, if I only use 2 credits the first night, what happens to the other credit and snack credits? Can I still use them until midnight the night of the second reservation? How will the next days lunch "know: to use the dining credit from the night before, before using the new credits?

The credits from your one night stay will only be good through midnight of the day you check out from that first hotel. You will need to use all of them that day or you will lose them.

As to how they know, before you would have two different keys to the world cards and you would need to make sure you used the correct key as they don't know which credits are which without that. I assume the same is now true with the MB. So be sure you know which MB goes with that first night stay and use that one for your lunch.

Magicbands are universal; they both will see both reservations and plans. They system is supposed to be smart enough to use the correct credits. If you're worried, you can wait to check in to the second reservation until after you exhaust your credits.
