What happens next on American Idol?

I didn't watch last year so I don't know the concept. now that they have the final few.....do they do the same thing? sing and get voted off? do the judges pick the songs?

is it the same type of show we have seen the last few weeks?

Now that the final ones have been picked, the judges will have a wild card show next week. The judges should pick the winner(s) of this show, thats how it was last season. Then they will move to a concert like feel, big stage,a ban, big crowd and the kids will get a song theme, like 50's or Motown and they pick the songs. Every week one will be voted off by the viewers until the big last finale show.

I didn't watch the show last year either until they got to about the final four. Simon said yesterday there was going to be a twist. What does everyone think that twist may be?

I think they will pick two people in the wild card instead of one.

Was it just me or were you wondering if there was going to be anyone worth voting for on the last group? The Marine was very good, but I didn't care for the rest, I like Kim. I very upset that Frenchie got kicked off, she was supposed to be in this last group, she was GREAT!

Is it just me, or does anyone else think that there is not as much talent this season as the first? I mean, some of the guys are good, but I don't think any of the girls left measure up. My DH and I go to a lot of college basketball games, and some of the people who sing the national anthem there (especially one 16 yr old girl) are better than the finalists on American Idol. I'm not just saying that sarcastically either. Seriously, they are better than ANY of the finalists.

I agree, I don't think the top ten this year is as good as last year. Well, I only think there were a few good ones last year, some of them shouldn't have been there. This year there are no stand outs like Tamyra, Justin, or Kelly. Maybe they will surprise us.

I guess its part of the "schtick" this year for contestants to argue back with negative comments, but comeon, for the most part, every one of them that has been dissed by the judges has in my estimation, deserved the remarks. That one gal that sang about the song about the children, she was irate about her "talent" and I have to agree with the panel, she wasn't very good.

That one gal from the first group that got voted out, the blonde, Kimberly was it, that is in the wild card group, I look for her to maybe make a comeback, she was deserving I think to have made it. I like the marine guy too, he has a pretty decent voice.

On the FOX news this morning in Philadelphia it was stated that there were only 9 people selected for the Wild Card Show next week instead of 10, did anyone notice this? It was also stated that maybe Frenchie might be the added twist and be invited back for the Wild Card Show, guess we will have to wait and see???

I wonder if Frenchie will come back, that is a good guess on the twist. Personally I do not feel she deserves to be on this show. Yes, he voice is great no doubt about it, BUT she posed on a web site that led the viewers of it to believe she was underage. Yes she was an adult when she did it, but she was made to be younger. I don't think someone who helps these sickos who like to look at young girls should be provoked more then they are. I dont believe she should be let back on the s how, that is not American Idol to me and I would stop watching the show for that matter.

My favorite is the Marine, but I am biased since my husband is in the military. I also like the girl who won in the first group. I think Kimberly does have a good chance of making a comeback, but she came across cocky to me.

I love Simon and always agree with what he says. Who is making the millions in music? the kid who is singing or Simon? I hate when they argue with him.

I totally agree that Kimberly had an attitude, and got it adjusted a little bit when she failed to get the public vote...but with that said, I think she can sing better than some that are moving on at this point..JMHO

Simon has to know his stuff, he is in the business, and what fun would the whole thing be if all 3 judges just sat there and didn't give those kind of comments, it would make for a boring show...lets face it, these reality shows have to have some gimmick to them.
