What happens if you don't make advance FP+ reservations?

I've made all my FP+ reservations and it looks like a great way to destroy my old FP strategy and maximizing our opportunities through FP.

We're going over Christmas, so the FP available is stretched out, with somedays our last FP being as late as 5:00.

What happens if you only do 2 FP on a day, or none? Can you work it like you did in the past and just go get a FP for an attraction based upon available FP?

For example, if you go to MK and go straight to the new mine ride and enter the stand-by line, when you get out, what is your chance of getting FP for that or other popular rides later in the day?

Post 1 in this thread will answer all your FP+ questions and give suggestions for best use of them

Just less than .0001% for Mine Train
Not much more for the rest. Plus you have to stand in those god awful Kiosk lines.

Not getting FP+ in advance is a very, very bad idea, even during non-crowded times.

FP+ is nothing like the old FP system. With the old system all FPs were paper and all FPs were available day of. Now FP+ is all electronic and all FPs are available 60+ days out (except on the rare instance they add more). With the old FP system, TSM would often run out of FPs by 11am, and I imagine the same would have happened to 7DMT. Now all 7DMT FP+ are often all gone 60 days out, and they do not add more the day of. I imagine during Christmas week that most of the good FP+ will be gone before you even get to the park. Your best bet is to make your 3 most important FP+, and any more you can get after that is gravy. If you don't make FP+ in advance, then you will probably be out of luck for any good FPs day of, especially Christmas week.

Thanks -- I think this is the info I was looking for. It takes a toll on us park warriors though. I've got a month to figure out a new park strategy. :scratchin
