What happens if you can't pay...

Hi hope some one can help answer this for me. My sil has a trip plan for june her balance of $600 is due by the 30th of this month. What happens if she can't pay. She won't have it until the end of next month. Thanks

They usually give you a slight grace period. But a grace period over a month not sure they will do that. The only thing she can do is call and ask.

She should call and see if they can work anything out with her. Sounds like she has almost the entire thing paid off, I'd be surprised if they couldn't work with her about such a small amount.

Make sure that she calls and talks to someone ASAP. If Disney does not have the payment in full 45 days out they will cancel her reservation. It has happened to people!!

They normally do give you a grace peroid. However, I don't think they will give you a month. A week or two maybe.

What I think your SIL should do is decrease the price of her package. From the sounds of it it seems she is on a package. With a package there is normally tickets and maybe the dining plan involved. First I would try to reduce the number days and/or options like park hopping on them. You will need to keep at least a one day park ticket for each person on the package. This should get her balance down pretty quick especially if there is a family involved. If that isn't enough then if she has the dining plan drop that. Once she has the money call Disney back and add the things back on the package. Disney normally doesn't charge you a change fee if you are increasing the price of your package after the 45 days.

If you do not pay in full by 45 days, they will send a letter advising that if the trip is not paid by 30 days out, they will cancel and refund all monies minus cancellation fees. If it was to be paid beyond 30 days, I'd definitely call to make arrangements.
