what happens during/after the tour?

Can someone tell me what happens during/after the DVC tour? Specifically, how long do you have to act on the offer? How long do you have to cancel if you put money down? We are going to be there right at the end of June, right before the supposed BLT release so I want to leave my options open if possible.

During the tour they bring you to the Preview Center at SSR and make you drink the DVC Kool-Aid. You are gradually convinced you need to purchase as many points as possible.

When we did the tour, at it's conclusion, we wanted to go back to the BC and discuss it privately. Our guide was fine with this and we felt no pressure from him that you gotta buy now. He gave us a Dreams book and point charts and told us to call him with any questions.

You have as long as you want to act on the offer if you didnt sign paper work. However, incentives, point availability, use years etc. may not be available to "get the same deal" you discussed by the time you are ready to join.

I believe you have ten business days to cancel after giving deposit.

They told us that we could be sure to retain our incentives if we purchased within 3 days after we got back home, but I'm sure this could be a case-by-case basis on that. He knew that it was our next to last day there, we hadn't planned on taking the tour, and we were short on time.

Same with us after the tour and Kool-Aid we had the offer and 3 days after we got home to act. Our offer involved $10.00 off pp and a 25% CM discount we didn't know about untill we took the tour. We still had 2 days left on our vacation so it think 3 days home is what the give you. We had SSR closing out and the CM discount was going back to 15% in June (our son is a seasonal CM ).

When you take the tour, they go through all your options with DVC points, then show you the models. They took us into a room so we could see the financing options. They told us we had a week to make a decision, and gave us the books to read. They walked us into the Ice Cream Parlor and we got ice cream to go. If you want, they will even take you to a park, or another location you want to go.

We got $30 worth of gift cards, but you could get the VIP fast passes, those were really cool.
