What happening at The Land?

I can see the connection as well! I haven't ridden Soarin' at Disneyland, but from what I understand it's all about the terrain and landscape of CA...hence the beautiful LAND. Nature. That kind of thing. It sounds like a fabulous ride and I'm very excited about it. Epcot does need new attractions for sure. We love World Showcase - I hope that never changes but Future World does need some help. Although I still like it. Can't go without a ride on Spaceship Earth. Mission Space is an awesome addition - they should keep the quality up to that standard.

I too remember the old ticket books - loved those "E's". We're all really telling our ages here.

Thanks to all of you who responded to my inquiry about The Land Pavilion. All of you folks are so helpful and responsive whenever I have questions. You are my heros!! We have made PS arrangements for Coral Reef instead since the food court at the Land will be closed. As for the new attraction, Soarin', my daughter rode it in California and LOVED it!! She can't wait for me to experience it, so we are both really looking forward to it's opening. Anyone know when that might be....... other than just Spring, 2005?

Hello, dialane, and welcome to the DISboards. You probably know this already but the Land Food Court and the Coral Reef are two entirely different dining experiences. The Land Food Court is a fast food, cheap prices kinda place and the Coral Reef is a sit down meal with prices higher than a cat's back. :earseek: I just didn't want to go be surprised if you didn't know it.

Also, in case you haven't found it on your own or no one has given you this link yet, here are the menus to all of the WDW restaurants/counter service places. Lots of other wonderful info on this site as well.

Hi - I'm not familiar with that term? Can anyone enlighten me? Thanks.
I'm curious about E ticket also. What determines which rides are E ticket and what does it mean?

As was already explained, the term E ticket is from the books of tickets used in the early days of Disney world, when only the Magic Kingdom was there. The A tickets were for rides such as the fire truck up main street. The B's, C's, and D's were progressivly used for the more exciting attractions. Of course the E ticket was the best. There were only a couple of E tickets in the book, and they were used for such exciting rides as Space Mountain. The E tickets were favoured of course, because they were for the more popular rides. The term stuck.

I hope they re do the entrance to the land. It is very hard to push a wheelchair up that ramp to the door, than once inside, try to hold the wheelchair back as you ease it down the ramp to the first floor. It never made sense to me at all. Why not just have us enter on the first floor? The same problem exist at Wonders of Life. I think the designers of these buildings should spend a day in a wheelchair.
