What Happened?!

Someone said that Dec 6-13 is POP WARNER week? What is that? Do the parks become really crowded with kids etc? Feedback would be great...thanks!

Pop Warner is a little league type of event for cheerleaders and football players. Most people say there is no difference in poark crowds, but there was to us. It was bad during the day, but in the evenings the parks got very busy. we also encountered several groups that were rude and very inconsiderate.

Dec 2007, we decided to go the week before Christmas and it was much nicer and alot less crowded. We are going Dec 13-21 this year and are looking forward to lower crowds. I think people hav ebeen hearing about the lower crowds for the first 2 weeks and then the crowds for the 3rd week are low now.

Taping for the Christmas parade is often early December also.
And I think with the daily pricing of rooms many guests who use to travel around Christmas will be more budget minded and now travel early December to get away from the more expensive holiday pricing.
And it seems as a rule of thumb the more expensive the room the more apt availablity is there. Most of us are not wanting to spend that much per night.
