Nothing against ECVs, but they do take a considerable amount of time to get on and get strapped in. Add to that the rest of the party, you now have a long line of non-ECV users who have waited a while who won't get a seat (since ECV gets on first), and even possibly won't get on at all and, well, that's a source of frustration. Everyone stays mum about it though because who complains about someone that needs the ECV? How crass would that be? It just seems like there is a better way, even if that involves accommodating them with something like a Minie Van that everyone else would pay a premium for. I really have no problem with that.
What they should do is make the lines accessible. Set up a point close to the front (so that the party would have gotten on anyway even without the ECV) and pull the person with the ECV and 1 assistant to help them load when they reach that point. The rest of the party waits in line and boards when it’s their turn.

Would you still have "no problem" when non-disabled parties found that if they rent a wheelchair they'd get this free on-demand transportation instead of paying a premium for it? Wheelchair rental for a week isn't terribly expensive and would definitely pay for itself with the transportation.
So if you have an adult in the ECV, a spouse, and a child (or grandchild), they leave one? That's part of the problem. Where do you "cut things off"?
If there are only two adults there would need to be an exception made. If there is a third adult they should be required to stay in line with the children.
What "personal info" would be "collected" to rent a wheelchair and/or order an accessible Minnie Van? There is no proof of disability if that's what you mean. Read up on disability rights and laws. I really think you have no concept of what you've suggested.
I only suggested that it would be more efficient to provide an upgraded service (on-demand shuttles) to ECV users in lieu of the added time and aggravation needed to get them on and off the regular buses. YOU suggested there would be people cheating the system to get free shuttle service. Sure, that could happen but I don't think it would be wide-spread. Those ECVs are heavy and a real pain to be transporting around if you don't really need one. The legality of the (I would say unnecessary, but you decide) safeguards? Yeah, I am probably over-simplifying.
Not to mention people who've brought their own wheelchair or ECV from off-site, either because they own one or because they rented one.
This is what we do. We are a party of 6, and my husband is using an ECV. He gets on by himself and the rest of us wait in line with everyone else. That comes from years of watching huge groups getting on what will be an overcrowded bus and knowing as we watch that we most likely won't get a seat. He has just started needing an ECV because of his knee but he doesn't need us to hold his hand lol. About 9 years ago karma got me badly. We were staying at POR, and at park close, every time the largest line was ours. We didn't even have to look at the chart. We knew the bus stop with the mass of people was ours. Most nights it would take as many as 3 buses to get on. I was complaining about the ECVs because they take up 3 to 6 seats (in a week, we were only able to sit on the bus twice, and one time was because we opted to wait for the next bus). I was complaining about the (late arriving) ECVs and their entourage after we were unable to get on the 2nd bus, and waiting for the 3rd bus here came not 1, not 2 but 3 ECVs. We had to laugh about it! Karma gets you in the end.
