What happened to Target Dollar spot?

I was in Target tonight and noticed the dollar spot has been replaced by the $3 Stocking Stuffer display. Do they do this display every year? I don't remember seeing it before. Looked some stuff similar to $ spot, but is now $3.

For a while they have had things ranging $1-$3. I bought a few $1 Christmas decorations tonight.

The 3 Targets nearest me (been to each one at least once in the past 6 days) all still have their Dollar Spot, in addition to the stocking stuffer display; The outermost display is the quirky stocking stuffer display and everything behind it is the regular $1 & $2.50 items.

My target still has the $1.00 spot .picked up some 2013 calendars and stocking stuffers .

Our $1 Spot is now $3 and under but still tons at a $1 I scored big time on stuff for my daughter there the other day!!!! Great Elf on a Shelf Goodies!!! I will get it again in a few weeks But I was very happy with my scores!!!!!

Mine has $1.00 and $3.00 items! I never even look at the $3.00 items!

Mine has $1 and $3 items as well. You have to make sure you double check the shelf tag under the bin because they are not organized by price. And also be careful that no one put something back into the wrong bin.

It can be a small issue for me just because I take my grandson to dinner on Wednesdays. Then we usually go to Target since I am not in that area at any other time. My stepdaughter comes with us usually. We've been doing this since he was two, he's now five. And as part of the process of teaching him how to behave in a restaurant we used to reward him with something from the dollar spot. Now we have to make sure we specify a dollar toy!
