What happened to Scoop?

I have not read this forum in quite awhile, however I saw a comment that made reference to the recently departed Scoop.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. While I have been mainly a lurking of this particular forum, I have always enjoyed Scoops insight, oppinions, and postings.

Scoop has packed up his insights, opinions, and postings and has taken them elsewhere. Seems to me it was due to his lack of desire to put up with a perceived (and perhaps real) bias toward negativity on this board as of late. Some would disagree with him. For a while there it did seem that quite a few posts were nothing more than an opportunity to drop a reference to cetain glass and water trinkets or something on the periodic table, as opposed to real discussion of relevant rumors or news. He still lurks so maybe he'll fill in the details.

I'm not so sure it is a typical short term DIS burn out as he is posting actively elsewhere.
