What happened to our..

I've never understood how people can walk into locker doors.
They kind of stick out and in some schools are bright or noticeable colors. For example, mine are burgundy and green (horrendous school colors) and just kind of hard to miss.
But if someone walked into a locker I'd start laughing those laughs where it hurts so much and no noise is coming out.

They were blue. and we were walking in this little hallway made out of two rows of lockers and out of the corner of my eye I see him walk into it, and for a second, I though I imagined it, then I heard him say "owww" and we burst out laughing. then total silence until we all get where we're going. then I hear my cousin say "you walked into a locker" and we all laughed for like ten minutes.

Anyways, guys, let's think about this...how many threads are we going to make on this topic? I happen to talk to Travis outside of the DIS every once in a while, and just cuz you don't "see" them, doesn't mean they're not there. Travis reads a bunch of stuff almost every day and checks up on everyone and everything and when he sees that things need MODERATING...then he steps in for his jurisdiction. Like Cat said, we essentially do not NEED that much moderating because we're basically the best "behaved" thread. I think we should leave this be and move on. If there is something that needs to be done...the Webmasters will take care of it.

Yes I agree. But Travis is the only mod we have around anymore, and I've seen the darker side of the dis, and this place can get really really messy. I have all the faith in the world in travis, but I do think it would be great it we had a few people out there to help him.

Not if you think about it.

Historically democracies do not last. period. But republics do. And our government (US=our) is a democratic republic. Hence it lasting for over 200 years. Now, if we came up with some kindof electorial college on here, then it MIGHT work. but with the amount of posters we have, its just too large for one great big vote. And then we would have to set rules. like more than 100 posts, ot make sure that people aren't creating names to vote. Then we would have to have people to check that out. so all the votes would be public, which could hurt some feelings.

We're basically running an oligarcy. Ruled by few with absolute power.

Heh, I don't agree fully with what you said, but there is no use of debating the issue because I consider myself a democrat. I do believe the system could work here and I do believe a democracy has been successful in the United States. Again, I find it wise if I don't let myself continue to disagree with your posts publically. lol.

I will never agree with someone just for the sake of agreeing. If I did, I would lose respect in myself. However, such as Shakespeare writes in "Hamlet", I agree with this advice, "Give thy thoughts no tongue,/ nor any unproportion'd thought his act." and, "Give every man thy ear, but few thy voice;/ Take each man's censure, but few thy judgement."
