First trip as adult-with DH and 2 kids ages 1.5 and 5. Considering a grocery order from Garden Grocer. Will have dining plan, but thinking we could save snack credits for breakfasts or real snacks by ordering bottled water, cereal, fruit, milk, etc. Plus remember that 18mo old does not get any meals (and he's a BIG eater!) so wanting to supplement what we will share with him. I have no idea what to order other than what's listed-any ideas? What have you ordered that was nice to have? We will have mini fridge in rooms.

You will probably have either grocery items left over or dining credits left over if you do both (dining plan and grocery order), so keep it light.

yogurt
fresh fruit
cereal
water
milk
beer/wine
morning danish
bread and pbj
snacks

Honestly I think you'd be ok skipping it and just buying what you need at the resort store. Remembering back to last trip when we did both and had a ton of dining credits left over. Plus, you'll have to pay the grocery delivery fee and tip, and if you have things left over...

I think it works out better to get a grocery order if you don't have the dining plan.

We always do both. Have the dinning plan and have extras. Some things I pack in the suitcase are microwave popcorn, jars of pb&j, pop tarts, pb crackers, cereal and granola bars. I pack things I know will travel well and I can get cheaper at home. Plus this leaves extra room in the suitcase for souvenirs on the way home. We also shop once we get there. We buy milk, water, fruit, chips, cookies, and vodka. Anything we bring or buy is for snacking. It's never to supplement meals. We don't eat meals in the room.

My best friend and I just went away for a week and stayed in a studio with the smaller fridge, and had the same discussion about whether or not to order stuff for breakfast/snacks. We were considering wegoshop as the fee seemed reasonable and she would get whatever we asked for. But after figuring it out, we just went with packing our breakfast items that could travel, we bought milk from the gift shop, and used our refillable mugs for pop/juice/water. We are tea drinkers, so we just used the coffee pot as a kettle every morning. If you need a case of water, a lot of people on the DIS order it online and have it shipped to their resort. We did fine with how we planned it, and had lots left over for munching on the plane ride home.
