What Games Do You Recommend For Playstation 2?

We bought our DD8 a Playstation for Christmas. What games do you recommend? I am definitely going to get her Kingdom Hearts. But, what else would she like? This is her first experience with a video game system at all. The guy that sold us the system recommended one where you have a little ball and you roll it around and try to collect things. Anything you roll over you pick up. Anyone know what that one is called? How about the Bratz game? Is that a good one?

Dark Cloud and Dark Cloud 2. Both a lot like Kingdom Hearts.

Kingdom Hearts is a really good game, but I think it is too complex for an 8 year old.

Oh, he may be talking about Katamari Damacy and We love Katamari (the sequel). I think these are the best games ever and are totally appropriate for kids.

My dd's 9. She loves Dance Dance Revolution, and any car or ATV racing games.

Crash Bandicoot Racing. Even my hardnosed teenage nieces and nephews (and their friends) still play this one.

The Sly Cooper games are fun, they have great animation. Karaoke Revolution is a BLAST!!! for kids who love to sing. Space Channel 5 (I think that is the name...) is also really cute and not too hard to keep up with.

ETA: I forgot! We also bought an EyeToy for them with Groove - it is a RIOT! We're also going to get Play 2 which has 16 games for EyeToy that are old time favorites. You get to play standing up using your whole self though, not just a controller!

DD is 14 now, but has been playing PS/PS2 for a number of years now. Some of her favorites are Crash Bandicoot (CTR/Crash Team Racing), ATV Off-Road Fury, SSX (snowboarding).

my DD 8 is playing her new Bratz game right now. Its a lot of shopping, some talk about boys, etc. Not really my thing, and I don't know who long it will hold her attention.

there are also some kareoke games that seem fun, and the dance games are great.

There is a quiz game for four players called buzz out in the UK for PS2 which is really good.
