What freaks you out?

First, my weird things...
I can't stand taking the skin off of raw chicken, it just grosses me out. Also, I hate rubbing hands together, especially when wet and soapy (when washing my hands I have to do it as fast as humanly possible).

Now, to those of you who have said you can't stand touching cottonballs, what's up with that? I understand everyone has weird things they don't like, but the fact that several people have claimed to not like touching cotton has intrigued me. Just out of curiosity, what is the reason you don't like it?

I brought this up first, so I'll try to answer your question. (I have chills already, but I'll try to describe it.)

I can handle if someone places a cotton ball in the palm of my hand if I don't have to touch it with my fingertips.

It seems that when you use your fingers to touch cotton, the threads in the ball rub together & that does something funny. I guess it's the rubbing together that is the "nails on the chalkboard" for me. For some reason, I feel like I need to rub my teeth to get rid of the feeling. :confused3

I thought I was alone & had some weird "disorder" until I found a kindred soul a few months ago that had the same aversion. And I read it here, too..about the teeth feeling "funky" after a cotton episode.

Call me crazy, but cotton is the devil!

The emergency broadcast system beep. I'll be watching a show and I hear it come on...I'll run, jump, climb over the laundry/sofa/wet floors to turn it off. It scares me when I'm alone and it comes on.

I don't like it when my towel is on my head wet and I put on a shirt and it makes a weird sound when it runs across the wet towel. It's making my nails and teeth hurt just thinking about it.

Ghost shows on TV scare me cause it's a force that I can go against.

I also HAVE to sleep with my hubby on one side of me and a wall on the other side. I like to feel secure and it between two strong barriers I guess! LOL!!!

I'm weird.

Salivia freaks me out. Drooly babies and dogs give me the heebie jeebies and if someone brushes their teeth in front of me I gag. Just thinking about it makes me kind of sick. My brother was a social toothbrusher, he just couldn't stay in the bathroom while brushing his teeth, drove me nuts. My DH made the mistake of using my toothbrush just once, never again. If I think about my toothbrush being out all day before using it I gag. If my toothbrush is wet before I use it I have to throw it out and get a new one. I wish my teeth were self cleaning.

I cannot stand to be tickled, I get mean. I tell the kids not to tickle me or I will turn into "Mean Mommy!"

Knuckle cracking & the sight of blood. I get weak in the knees even just thinking about either one. *shudder*

FEET !!!!! :earseek:
I think feet are the most disgusting thing in the world... If my DH touches me with even his toe, I freak out and wash whereever it touched...

othen then that spiders.....eeeeeeeeek!!!
