What freaks you out?

Anything to do with feet. Especially when people rub their feet. Gross. I touch my own feet as little as possible.

I also hate when people touch me unexpectedly. I can handle a hug or kiss from a relative (though I don't like it) but I hate just random touching. And now that I am pregnant, everyone seems to think it is an invitation to touch my stomach, ugh, keep your hands away!

I can't stand to hear someone suck their snot up in their nose. That sounds always makes my skin crawl.
I also can't stand the feel of corduroy. I have hated the way it feels since I was a child.

Anything that has to do with eyes. Eye drops,, when people flip their eyelids, touch their eyeballs or even put contacts in. It freaks me out!

Comb overs! Yech! I cannot not even look at Donald Trump. Remember Rudy Guiliani's? I was always afraid the wind would blow it straight up in the air at a press conference :earseek:

Sorry, this is NOT attractive!

The wooden popsicle stick and spoon thing gets me too! :earseek: Blech, my mouth feels funny just thinking about it.

Myst

  • Those BIG grates on the sidewalk (the ones where you have to hug the wall so you don't have to walk on them).
  • Tornados. I've seen 2 in my lifetime and was within 1/4 mile from one of them...I was a basket case!

Someone rubbing a balloon.

Styrofoam rubbing together for me too! NO STYROFOAM COOLERS ALLOWED in my car (I can remember the sound of the top and bottom together--makes my teeth hurt even to think about it!).

I'm so glad to hear I'm not alone in my popsicle stick, toothpick aversion. Oh, it totally skeeves me out to see someone chomping on a toothpick or gnawing on a popsicle stick.

And, I will not eat ice cream w/ one of those wooden paddle spoons! No way, no how.

This ranks right up there with nails on a chalk board!! I cant even stand OTHER people handling cotton!!

I have to leave the room when the kids in my sunday school class have a craft with cotton in it. Another adult is there, so it's o.k. to run for the hills.

BTW, I thought I was the only one that felt like my teeth are "funky" when I'm around cotton. It's nice to know I'm not alone in my "disorder". :goodvibes

I get a gag reflex if I'm in the room with someone who's creasing a piece of paper with his or her fingernails. That is, using a sliding, squeezing, nail-to-nail technique to make the crease razor sharp. I'm OK if someone just folds the paper over and presses gently with the fleshy part of the finger tips, or the palm.

Accidentally biting a piece of aluminum foil.

When I hear screaching, AKA Metal to Metal. Or when someone 'tickles' the back of my neck.

I hate touching ketchup bottles lids. Especially when they're cold. I hate opening the ketchup and seeing the crusty ketchup ring. :scared:

I avoid them at all costs or make someone else open it for me.

Along with the nails on the chalkboard, I can't stand chalk! I don't like the feel of it and I can't handle when my nails accidently scratch it. When I was teaching, I insisted on a white board. I get shivers just thinking about it.

Coins freak me out. Have to wash my hands after handling. :scared:

When my sternum cracks when lifting weights. :crazy2:

Spiders. Any size, any type.

Cotton in my mouth (while at dentist)

Robots. Especially robots with scary red eyes and mechanical voices. They are evil and must be destroyed. [hiding under the bed]
