I'm embarrased to even ask this as I fly almost monthly for work, I've just never paid attention, What form of ID (if any) do I need for our DS 3.5 to fly?

We leave in 27 days....

Thanks

Another vote for "none." Been there, done that.

I guess in an attempt to not think about leaving my son so often, I make a point to not pay attention to other people with kids to see what they are doing.

Thanks for the help.

None children do not need ID. However for my 14 year old. I am bringing his highschool id. Since they list his name and address and the fact that my 14 year old is as big as a grown man. 6 foot tall 190 pounds. Thank goodness for the baby face.

Well, you'll need a DNA sample and birth certificate for the baby.

Just kidding, children under 18 need no ID, although it's a good idea to have it for older teens.

If you have a special age related fare you might need a copy of the birth certificate. Some airlines have special infant fares for parents that don't want a "lap baby".

For trips to FL the adult internet fare most of us get is cheaper than the special youth/child fares that some airlines offer.

Why, he'll need his driver's license, of course! So he'd better hurry up and pass his driver's test. ;)

(Nope, no need for ID for any of the kids we've ever brought: not ours, not the nieces. You'll be fine.)

Then again, he'll be getting his driver's license soon enough: only another 12.5 year...

Hi, we live in OH, and you don't need an ID, but I took our son to the local license bureau and got him an OH ID. Basically, it looks like a license, and it has some info on it, along with a pic. Have found it very easy and quick to move along at the airport with it. It's been a couple of years ago, but I think I took his Birth Cert. and SS card with me to have it done. We were going to Canada at the time. It has made airport checking easy though. Very nominal fee for the convenience!
