What financial institution do you use for savings?

I have an american express savings acct, which I think is at 1.45%. It's easy to transfer money in or pay my amex with it. Don't do anything else, it's an emergency saving acct so it just sits there...

I bank at a regional banking system which is not available in CA (it is headquartered in my metro and is available in 5 states). I've been overall pleased with them and have banked with them for nearly 10 years at this point. The one thing I don't like is that only their credit card system can have my name hyphenated. Their other system for savings, checking, debit accounts cannot. I can have my credit card with my name hyphenated but then because of their systems I cannot connect my mobile banking (which I use 99.9% of the time) accounts to the credit card mobile banking account as their system would see me as two different people. With that bank I have a credit card, a checking account for me and then with my husband a joint checking account and a joint money market account. Both the joint checking and joint money market earn interest just not much interest. My husband then also has a checking account with them.

I've started using a local credit union that has rewards checking account at 2% up to $15K balance - I sure miss the days of 5% rewards checking! I've got funds in Discover Savings at 1.55%. I opened up an Alliant account but haven't pursued it further because then I found my local credit union interest-checking account.

I have my accounts at Fidelity. I put savings in an ultra short bond fund vs. a money market fund to increase yield.
