What fashion trends should never come back!

LOL. Uniforms sure made it easier for us as parents.

not if your private school had a financial kickback arranged with the one and ONLY uniform company that sold for the school-and they worked together to just tweak changes to the uniforms enough year to year so that parents were forced to buy entirely new wardrobes. just a slight change to the dye color, the addition or deletion of an emblem, back pockets with flaps and buttons one year/non flapped or buttoned the next....the school my kids went to made EVERY element of visible clothing part of the uniform-down to socks, coats, hats and all forms of outerwear. no chance that the $300 jacket you bought your older kid that was in perfect condition and perfectly fit your younger could get another year of wear b/c the sleeve would have some kind of flourish or omission of a flourish that made it out of compliance (and the dress code was strictly enforced).

Leggings as pants, especially the ones that are more like tights/see-through
Skinny jeans
Jeans with holes in them

High rise jeans are much worse.

This really is true in my case. I have such a short waist, I put on a pair of high rise jeans and they came up within a hands width of my chest. Super low jeans aren't great on me, but atleast low rise actually fit right.

Tight rolled jeans
Not sure what exactly you mean; rolling up the cuff of all types of jeans has been very trendy with both men and women for a couple of seasons now. Which has been great for me because I've got a very short inseam and would have to get them hemmed otherwise.

That would be annoying. My youngest is 30 so been a dozen years since I dealt with that. Fortunately the three different private schools they went to all specified the generic blue plaid school uniforms that Sears, JCPenney, KMart, the local kids store and Amazon sold.

maybe that’s all they can afford or want to spend on a dress or is there another meaning for cheap dress that I don’t know about.
I think it's cheap as in tawdry
Tawdry means cheap, shoddy, or tasteless. It can be used to describe almost anything from clothes to people to even events or affairs.

That's disgusting. DS10's school has a spirit store on campus that's run by the Parents Club. They sell used uniforms for a very reasonable price along with school hoodies that you can wear in the school as outerwear. They also sell new middle school gym shorts for less than the uniform provider as well as spirit shirts you can wear with the gym shorts or on Fridays with jeans. The current spirit shirts are so cute that a lot of the parents are wearing them.

The school tries to provide ways to save money on uniforms and only changed the uniforms once. It was when the longtime provider went out of business and the school couldn't find a provider who had the same school colors and plaid. The school gave parents a year for the transition and collected the old uniforms to donate them to an improvished school in Mexico.

The 80s. Like all of it minus a few pieces here and there

And I have a weird sense of fashion, but after years of 80s and early 90s hand me downs from my cousins for special events I don’t need them to return

Shirts with parts of the sleeves cut out. The ugliest fashion trend that ever existed.
Ohhh..I beg to differ. Only the truly sexy can pull off that look :worship:

DH and I were recently in St. Augustine and went to a Kevin Costner concert. I saw multiple middle aged women so desperately trying to look like they fit in at a country concert that they clearly wore the only boots they owned......uggs. it was so odd.

Those one piece jumpsuit thingys some females are wearing now. The ones made of that cheap material that clings to every roll/bump of fat on your body and then some. Even worse if they are flesh colored....just because the material stretches to conform to your body doesn't mean you should wear it.
