Inspired by the ABD crew meeting Dick Van **** today, tonight at the dinner table, our family discussed what Disney person would we be excited to meet.

DH said Richard Sherman & John Lasseter - I agreed.

I'm still in disbelief that I get to meet Marty Sklar on our ABD trip in April. :worship: But at the dinner table tonight, I suggested that Joe Rohde would be awesome and the Don Hahn from Waking Sleeping Beauty

DD8 said, Zack & Cody or someone currently on the Disney Channel, or anyone that voices the Fairies in the Pixie Hollow movies.

Who would blow you away?:cloud9:

Julie Andrews for me. Joe Rhode is a close 2nd.

Joe Rhode fascinates me because you don't see or hear much from him.

Joe Rohde, so I could tell him to fix the darn Yeti!!

Seriously though, near the top of my list would be Joe, Marty Sklar, X Atencio and former Disney Archivist Dave Smith.

Julie Andrews!!!! Definitely for Mary Poppins but non-Disney related for The Sound of Music! Best movie ever!

Wait, wait, wait! Was his name censored?:rotfl:
Okay, mine would be Julie Andrews.

Alice Davis

She's a hoot :thumbsup2- I would so love to meet her.

I also agree on John Lasseter, Joe Rhode and Richard Sherman.

I was thrilled to meet Marty Sklar, Charlie Ridgeway, Bob Gurr and Jodie Benson. I even met Roy E Disney several year ago when we had the "cuop" on Michael Eisner at the Philly Shareholder meeting.

But for everyone of them, I would love to have had a one on one lunch or something where I could actually chat for a bit. All of them were lovely and very approachable- but busy!!

Joe Rhode for me - I would love to be able to just sit and listen to him tell stories.

For me, it was meeting Mary Costa, the voice of Briar Rose / Princess Aurora from "Sleeping Beauty". I think the reason I was thrilled should be obvious!

I think only Tony Baxter has a "Sleeping Beauty" collection better than my own. ;)

I've seen Joe Rohde at the Adventurers Club when there weren't that many people in the main salon, but I did not talk to him. I had met all the special guests at DIS-a-Palooza and the cruise, so that was fun.

Oh, I went on a special trip as a Disney Store cast member back in 1996. One of the coolest things we did was listen to a presentation in the screening room of the Animation building by Don Hahn, followed by the first 15 minutes of "Hunchback of Notre Dame" which was completed for final cut just the day prior! That was a thrill.

A lot of that trip reminded me of the Adventures by Disney Backstage Magic tour, but we were allowed, as cast members, a little more freedom of movement. Much of it wasn't duplicated with ABD, but we did overlap with some Burbank studio and Imagineering tours.

OK, so Johnny Depp would be first. (Sorry, had to do it. I think he's an amazing actor. And, yes, easy on the eyes, too.)

But then, it would be Dean DeBlois and Chris Sanders (Lilo and Stitch/Mulan). It would be awesome to hear Chris Sanders do Stitch's voice in person.

After that, John Lasseter.

I would be over the moon if I could meet any one of these great people:

Mary Blair
Dick VanDyke
Julie Andrews
Johnny Depp
Hayley Mills
Annette Funicello

I have to go with John Lasseter. In my opinion, he is the living Walt Disney of the company. They just haven't given him ALL the power yet
