My DD does so much, it makes my head spin. She really likes it though, she hates sitting home. She's in dancing, takes piano lessons, plays flute in the school band, plays keyboard in the school jazz band, is in the school musical and thank God, bowling just got finished! What about your kids?

DD 11 is into ballet, pointe, piano, flute, bot-ball (building a robot for a contest with a group from school), usually Girl Scouts but we are between troops right at the moment, and youth group at church.

DS 15 is into trumpet, guitar (electric and accoustic), drama, Scouts (Life heading toward Eagle), Medical Explorer Post, and youth group at church.

I may be leaving something out, but that is most of it. Sounds like a lot. My kids are well-rounded. :teeth:

OH I hear your pain!!!!:teeth: My DD also loves to do EVERYTHING under the sun. She used to say "but mom it's free!" When we should come home from school. That always cracked me up. ;) Right now she is Cheerleading for boys basketball, is in Ski Club, playing AAU basketball and has religion classes. She's 13, so after this long I'm used to it. I just joke I'm her personal taxi!!!;)
Now DS on the other hand...doesn't care for sports. He does take swimming lessons and religion, only because I make him! But if his interest is elsewhere that's fine! I tried to get him to play ball and soccer, but realized making him wouldn't help. Sometimes you just have to let them go at their own pace I guess. ;)

My DS 9 takes Kung Fu and is in Cub Scouts. He started playing French Horn this year, but that is only during school time. However, he does have to practice at home.

My DD 7 takes Kung Fu, dance, and Brownies.

I'm glad they lost their interest in baseball and soccer - that was too much running around, plus we never had the schedule until the last minute!

Daughter: Dance (jazz & tap one combined class a week), band (trumpet, during school hours) & karate (red belt one night class and one Sat class).

Son: Karate (recomended black belt, 2 classes per week) & middle school cross country ski (after school once a week).

A neighbors son was on the go every night and weekend with year round soccer, boy scouts, band and several after school clubs. (middle school) It appears he had some sort of break down last week and they pulled him from all the activities. Cries all the time, trouble sleeping and does not want to go to school. Really sad. At award nights, he would get a bunch of them.

DD#1--dance (tap, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop), karate, house soccer in spring and fall, 5th grade show choir, piano.
DD#2--dance (tap, jazz, lyrical), Brownies, karate, softball in spring into June.
DS--indoor soccer, outdoor soccer in spring.

It all works out, although I'm not wild about karate--that is DH's thing (he is a red belt)--most weeks they can only get one or two classes in, only one once spring sports get going in May--actually we did no karate at all last May because of sports and extra dance rehearsals for recital. But in summer when there is no dance, choir, or school they get more karate in. They are orange belts.

ok, here goes....

My Twins take ballet, kid fit, choir and gymnastics.

My oldest takes two different theater classes, choir and cantoring, and ballet. She is also in math club and school paper.

DD is in the school band, is secretary for the student council, and takes tap and jazz classes.
DS is in the chess club, and takes private drum lessons.

DD 17 takes voice.

DS11 does travel soccer (dome league right now), little league, plays the baritone horn and does after school long distance running.

DD8 takes tap and does girl scouts.

DS #1 play club soccer (year-round) and H.S. soccer. He's a senior this year.

DS #2 baseball, football, basketball. He's in 6th grade

DD just soccer for now but she is begging to start gymnastics, cheerleading and dance.

DS -Scouts (eagle with five palms), Academic Challenge (affectionally referred to as nerd squad), Junior Statesmen of America (regional cabinent), Temple Youth Group (VP), Latim club, and other stuff on several AP courses.

DD#1-Sea Scouts, Academic Challenge, Temple Youth Group, Swim Team, Junior Statesmen of America, Girls Scouts and dog handling.

DD#2-Piano, girl scouts and dog handling.

Well, let me see. What is there about girls that they want to be in everything??? DD14 takes piano and clarinet lessons. She's in the school marching band (also made district band her Freshman year). Taking 4 honors classes, she is in NJHS, student council, girl scouts, her school basketball team, another competitive basketball team, and lacrosse. I feel like the witchy mom when I have to say "NO" to anything else. In addition, we have Bible classes on Sundays and Wednesdays.

DS17 doesn't do sports but takes piano lessons and plays the violin. He is in 8 clubs at school, works part-time, takes 6 AP classes and 1 Honors class. He recently finished his requirements for his Eagle scout. Writing essays for college took up a lot of Christmas vacation.

Yes, they both have VERY active social lives in addition. Rarely a weekend goes by that we don't have a house full of teenagers. (This is my favorite time of their lives). We're having a great time with them!!! Do I make them be in this much? No way. But, they are happy to be involved in so many activities. They are bored without them.

DS 17-orchestra, cross country, track (indoor and outdoor) NHS, Link leaders, Knowledge Bowl, and a job

DS13-Math counts , basketball, baseball, indoor track, orchestra,

DS8 -- Indian Guides, Cub Scouts, Horseback Riding lessons, Religious Ed Class, SCORE! (tutoring, does that count?), and will do soccer come spring (again for the 5th year).

DS2 -- No outside activities but he keeps us hopping more than his older brother. We are always chasing him and scurrying around to keep him out of trouble. He is definately more work!

My oldest ds-15--plays football and goes to guitar (and band) practice.
Ds #2-12---also plays football.
2 little ones not in school yet.

DD1 stays in school for environmental club twice a week after school
DD2 is in kindergarten and she doesn't do anything else yet. My kids are only allowed to do one extra activity a year, I don't run around with my head chopped off just to keep them busy. I'm sure as they get older more things will come along but for right now this is how it is.
