What exactly is a considered a Published Rate?

I just recieved an email for room only discounts starting at $64/a nite at Value Resorts (11/27-12/25). It has a PIN code on it. I have already booked a room through the AP Best Rate Program. If this offer is lower, will the AP Best Rate match it or is the email solicitation not considered as a published rate?

UPDATE: I just got off the phone w/the reservation center and the CM told me that no rate will be lower than the AP Best Rate. Can I believe him? I asked him about "published rates" and all he would say is I'm getting the best deal. He couldn't get the system to work to give me a new code using the PIN code.

I'm wondering the same thing. I also have a AP Best Rate reservation (actually two :cool1: ) and got an e-mail PIN code today. I e-mailed my DU travel agent and will hopefully find out more soon.

As I said in another thread, I checked with CRO and the rate with that pin is $99 for moderates (CBR only) and my BRP rate at POFQ is $94.

Guess that's not a lie --- BRP is the best availible rate !

See you all in the World - :earsgirl:

We have a BRP Value booked for $59/night plus taxes. 1st 10 days of December if that helps you.
