On our second DL day at the end of June we plan on doing our EE into Fantasyland and then doing Toontown Madness at park opening. But what exactly goes on at Toontown Madness? How long does it typically take to see all of Toontown?

Just wondering because we didn't see much of Toontown in WDW last year because it was crazy crowded when we were there.

How long it will take you depends on what you want to do. At Mickey's Toontown Madness, the 2 TT rides are open as well as the character houses and play areas. If characters and autographs are important, it will take you most of the hour to do everything. If you're there just for the rides, less than 30 minutes. Gadget's Go Coaster is a fun, but short, kiddy coaster and Roger Rabbit's Cartoon Spin is a fun interactive dark ride where you can spin the cars.

The characters all come out (Mickey, Minnie, etc) and they all have a Mayor Ceremony (or they did 2 yrs ago). It was fun and they gave out pins to everyone.

We really enjoyed Mickey's toontown madness!

It was a great way to get in without a crowd! The opening show is very cute and then you can either ride rides or meet the characters. We had plenty of other opportunties to meet characters so we took the time to explore the houses and ride the rides without any lines.

My DD5 LOVED LOVED the Gadget go Coasters and they let her stay on 5 times straight! She had a blast and on several of the rides we were the only ones on it - when we were in there later in the afternoon the line was at least 1/2 hour long! This really is a great way to explore ToonTown without the crowds!

You may or may not be able to do it the same day as EE.

EE is currently: Mon, Tues, Thurs and Saturday.
TTMM is: Mon, Wed, Fri and Sat.

So, if day 2 is a Mon or Saturday your plan will work, otherwise you'll want to rethink it.

what do you have to do to go to the toontown madness? does it require being a hotel guest or booking a trip through somebody special (like AAA/Disneytravel/etc)..thanks for the help

thanks for this info! I didn't know it was certain days and that definitely changes my plans but no worries-i still have a month to plan ;)

YOu need to book thru Disney travel- either direct, thru a travel agent, AAA or costco. You can sometimes buy voucher off ebay as well.
