What EXACTLY do you say when you call for a possible PIN Code?!?

Silly question ... perhaps ... but what EXACTLY do you say when you want to know if you have a code attached to your name? I have our next trip - me my DH, DS11, and DS6 booked for Nov 16 - Nov 23 ( my 40th is on the 22nd so of COURSE I HAD to be in Disney!! ) I did my booking through Magic for Less Travel (I've worked with Deb Chambers there for two trips AND a Disney Cruise -- -she's AWESOME) does it matter if I didn't book directly through Disney?

I asked the CM very simply, "could you please check to see if there are any discount codes attached to our names please? we're frequent visitors and haven't heard from you in a while". That is when they discovered that during a computer upgrade our info got lost and we've lost out on a few opps. Oh well.....life goes on. :o)
 
I asked if there where any discounts available for my dates.The person asked my name and for other information, there just happen to be a pin for 40% off hotel room and then I was able to make it into a package. But The 40% was only deducted from the room portion of my Resi.
 

The last couple times I've called and asked if there was a discount/code attached to our names, the CMs that I have spoken to, kind of acted like I was being a pest. Have you found this? One actually even told me, "We aren't able to look at that, unless you have the code and then I can look.":confused3 I'm very polite while on the phone with them.....REALLY!!!
 
I just called and said I was thinking about going to WDW and wondered if there were any discounts attached to my name, phone, etc. The CM was so nice he even checked DH who keeps a different address but we were offered Water parks and more for the price of regular tickets.

Just ask in a nice way. IF the CM is snarky, hang up and call back.

Last yr we went in early December to celebrate since it fell on Thanksgiving. We asked the CM at check-in if it would be okay to have a birthday pin and she said absolutely - after all, it was a birthday trip! :thumbsup2

I was just wondering what phone number do you call to ask? Disney has like 9000 different phone numbers! Thanks!
 
Call any number you would call for reservations :)

1-407-W-DISNEY (934-7639) works well ;)
(Weekdays from 7 am to 10 pm and weekends from 7 am to 8 pm, Eastern Time.)
 
Are they able to apply the discount code to your package (if you have one) even if you booked with a travel agent? I wasn't sure how this works.

when ever I feel I'm speaking with someone with a less than magical attitude, I cut the conversation off and hang up- and call right back. I rarely get 2 in a row with that attitude.

You should never feel like a pest- after all, it's your calling that is giving them a job! :thumbsup2

That would be nice but its 7am to 10pm sunday through saturday

For mistydoodles- your travel agent would have to call to make any changes to the reservation

Okay. But I can call and see if I have a code and if I do then give my travel agent the code? Or does the travel agent have to call and see if I have a code?:)

I copied the quote from Allears website, so they must have some updating to do!

Did not sound right to me, but Deb usually keeps info pretty up to date.
 
you can call to see if theres a code and give it to your TA

2 questions:

1. If there is a code attached, what do you say to the CM? "Can I have the code ID so I can pass it along to my TA"?

2. Does this apply even if you used AAA?
 
I just called to check..good news is the already had our contact info in their system:) Bad news: No code for us:mad:
