Before I begin, pardon my ignorance. I hear these being spoken of all the time on the boards and never knew what they were. I know they are sometime of sneaker/sandal type thing? Any additional info is greatly appreciated! Thanks! :cool1:

They are brightly colored, hole-ridden, orthopedic-looking shoes. Extremely ugly.

Matter of opinion. A matter which, although I pretty much agree, others might not. :hippie:

See for yourself.

UGLY..yes, some might think so....BUT the comfort level of the CROCS far exceeds the fact that they maybe ugly!!!

OWNER OF TWO PAIRS. ::yes::

They are the ugliest shoe you will ever see, but people on these boards swear by them. Suppose to be like your walking on air. Maybe one day I will take the plunge. I've gone as far as trying them on but I just can't get myself to buy a pair.

I happen to think they're kinda cute. They look very beachy to me. And OP, they're extremely comfortable!

Do these Crocs cause blisters? I was thinking about getting a pair for my mom (don't know what she'll think about the look of them) but she's been looking for a pair of shoes/sandels that are comfortable and don't cause blisters.

I so wanted to buy a pair, but they didn't have my size in hot pink, only red. Also I am kinda concerned. I have fairly narrow feet. The ones I tried seemed kind of wide. Is there different styles. I definately would want the ones with the holes. Also don't your feet get warm & sweaty. Please pardon my spelling (just sound it out).

I bought my crocs recently thinking the clogs would be good for my overseas travel (15 hours on a place = SERIOUS foot swellage...last time I ended up barefoot in LAX because I couldn't get more than my toes in the shoes I had with me!!). I bought them because ALL of the nurses and techs at the local hospitals wear them... partly because of the anti-microbal stuff, but also be cause they all swore they were the most comfortable shoes if you are on your feet all day.

Yes, they are bit on the 'ugly' side...but I figure they are no worse that the multi-coloured teva sandals or birkenstock clogs (which I used to have too). I even think they are more comfy than my birks.

I have the red ones like the picture posted earlier (with the holes). I love the fact that the heel strap can be flipped up over the top, so they end up looking like clogs...but the strap can be slid on to keep them more firmly on the feet when riding roller coasters :) I love the holes because with every step, they seem to suck air in under and around the foot...very cooling. I've worn them in the Australian summer and have NO qualms about wearing them at WDW in July (it's hotter here in summer..and my feet were still cool).

All in all...I love mine and would recommend them highly. I'm going to purchase a couple more pairs when I hit the states (they are about $20 cheaper over there...even with the exchange rate). Hmm...think I'll go for nice and versatile navy blue and then a fun bright, ducky yellow colour :) I hear they make them in several styles, including flip flops (thongs for any Aussies reading this :)

Cheers...

Can anyone explain the difference between the "Beach" and "Cayman" models to me. In looking at them on the Crocs website I can't figure out what distinguishes one from the other...

Hi. I just took the plunge and bought a pair of Beach in pepto bismol (sp?) pink for our trip in 2 days! I love them! My husband has been wearing them for about 2 months. He has very bad feet (had to have surgery) and he loves them.

This is from the Crocs website:

Question: What is the difference between the Beach and Cayman model?

The Beach was our original and wildly successful model. However, because it comes in only six sizes, it didn't fit the "between" sizes perfectly. So Crocs introduced the new Cayman model to address the "tweener" issue. The Cayman comes in individual sizes from children's 8/9 through adult 13. It also has a slightly narrower foot bed and softer circulation nubs. It is the perfect comfort shoe for all sizes, "tweener" or not! The main difference in the two shoes is that the Cayman comes in whole number sizes while the Beach model is sized XS through XXL.

Even though your opinion is pretty accurate, I, myself love my Birkenstocks. Being a nurse, I, unfortunately wear the "orthopedic-looking shoes" everyday. I put my foot into a Croc a couple of days ago and loved the way they felt. It feels like styrofoam only lighter. Yes, they are not the most beautiful shoe to look at, but I agree with a comment before me, "the comfort far out-weighs the look"; especially in Disney World.

Crocs are basically all I wear in WDW. They are the only footwear that I can wear, all day, that doesn't leave my lower back, knees, and ankles hurting by the end of the day. My dd loves hers, and my dh has just asked for his second pair!!!!
No blisters, ever for me!!! They do make your feet feel a bit squishy when your feet get wet, but they dry out fast!!!!

Crocs are very comfotable yet highly ugly shoes. I have two pairs of beach ( lime green and kahki) and 1 pair of athens (lime green/pink)

So the ugly shoes actually have their own name? LOL!

Sorry to burst your bubble, but lots and lots of CMs think they're the most rediculous things ever. The CMs I work with make it a point of seeing how many pairs we can spot in a day.
