Anyone know what ever happened to the Goofy Bars they used to have in WDW???? I looked the last time I went and didn't see them anywhere....anyone know if they still have them or am I doomed???
Those are the ones that have a caramel center, right? It's always been my favorite - but I haven't seen them in the parks in a couple years. Last time I saw one was at one of the Trading Posts in Ft. Wilderness campground.
Sigh. I remember those when they originally were a tie-in with Hunchback.
After they were the Hunchback bar, they went to the next movie: Hercules
bar. I thought it was a good move to assign it to Goofy after a while.
And now...poof. Vanished.
I'd be very happy if they brought back the Goofy bar!
My DD still asks about the '100 years of Magic" bar that they had for that celebration! And that was a few years ago! It was vanilla ice cream with a layer of caramel covered by chocolate - it was so good!
I miss those SO MUCH -- I still look every time I pass an ice cream cart.
It's been several years though - -and funny story about them - three years ago I was in the pool at the Poly with my niece and nephew and there was a much older couple in the pool talking about their dinner plans. She said after dinner she wanted to try the carts in Epcot looking for the Goofy bars since she hadn't seen them at MK. I went over to her and we talked about them - how totally embarassing to be talking about an ice cream bar but it was nice to commiserate with someone who missed them also.
I remember them as being CHOCOLATE soft serve with a ribbon of caramel and the chocalte dipped.
Actually they had different names in different years. I remember them being "Hercules" bars at one point and "Pocohontas" bars another time. Finally they became Goofy bars and I for one really miss them. They were my absolute favorite.
Yup....those are the ones!! And even with all the fabulous snack options they have in WDW...nothing beats the GOOFY BAR!! Funny...how it's the little things make you happy
I also remember them as the Goofy bar (I must not have eaten them when they were Hercules or Pocohontas). While I remember them being changed to the 100 years of magic bar, we still called them Goofy bars and we still miss them now
AKbabe, loved your Breezy pic in his darling rain poncho! I bet you miss him a lot
My little bichon is named Breezy too...we almost lost him in Dec. (kidney stones) but after surgery he is doing OK...my Breezy's birthday is Feb 8, 1998, so they are close in age.
