737s are the perfect plane for me! Not too large (those make me uncomfortable and claustrophobic) and not too small (those scare me a little bit too!).
SW flys 737's. They do however fly both a standard size and a "stretch" aircraft with a larger passenger capacity. You can tell which one you are about to board by looking at the wings. The larger plane's wing tips turn up.
Southwest has been retrofitting winglets on the 737-300's as well. Winglets provide better lift and fuel economy. The Boeing 737-xxx is the most commercially successful aircraft in aviation history.
Absolutely! The one time we tried, we were all together in the middle row. I couldn't see out, I was surrounded by people -- it was awful! I might have done better had I been in one of the aisle seats of two!
That is neat! I was pretty sure SWA only flew one type of plane. DH doesn't like to fly, but he does like how SW runs their business, so guess which airline I'm supposed to try to get flights on?
What town are you from in PA? I live in Ambridge.
When are you going to WDW?
We are going Dec 9-16. It will be me, DH, DMIL, DFIL, DBIL, and Dnephew(9). We are staying at POP.
We're near Butler, PA, so not far from you! We're going Dec 6-12, and we are also staying at POP! It's me, DH, our 4 kids, and most likely DH's sister (she's unmarried and has moolah to burn -- my kids will be in heaven!).
