What else to say to the characters???

DS5 fell and scraped his knee and was being consoled by my MIL just as Alice was being ushered past by her handler following a shift by the carousel. She stopped and bent down and said that she too had scrapes her knee falling down a rabbi hole. Then she kissed her hand and touched his cheek. She was lovely!!

That is so sweet -- and at the end of her shift, when you would think she has had more than her fill of sticky, sweaty, whiny kids, to take the time to console one more little one -- that's where the magic comes from. :)

My group had just done a Disney Broadway Workshop where the teens learned all of the harmonies and choreography to Supercalifragilistic. They wanted a picture with Mary Poppins the next day at HS but Mary was about to leave. As she left they flash mobbed the dance. She was SO excited she stopped on the way to her break for a picture and hugs. She said we made her day!

Disneyland still has Flynn meeting with Rapunzel some of the time and those two are an absolute riot together. I think they're the Han Solo and Princess Leia of Disney.

Flynn has tried to convince me to grow a soul patch and also indicated that I should practice my smoulder. Rapunzel told me that the soul patch isn't necessary and I don't need to listen to him. When I tried asking what was in the pouch, Flynn wanted to make sure that I wasn't a ruffian. He thought I might be a pirate, but Rapunzel eventually convinced him that Jedi were trustworthy.

A week or so before Alvin and the Chipmunks was released, I asked Chip and Dale when Disney was going to come to their senses and make a movie starring them since they're much cooler than those other squirrels. The next thing I know, Chip and Dale are reenacting a fight scene from The Matrix. And let me tell you, you've never seen The Matrix until you've seen it reenacted by 5 foot tall chipmunks.

Appeal to Chip and Dale's ego and they're likely to reward you accordingly.

I  this thread! It's so much fun to read and gives me great ideas for our next trip!

At the Garden Grill DD told Chip and Dale all about our dog who chases bunnies and would probably chase them ... their reaction was so cute.
At AK she told Thumper and Miss Bunny that our dog would chase them if they came to our house ... they were horrified of course! :)
At Chef Mickey's DD told Minnie that she likes to dance and asked if Minnie dances .... Minnie proceeded to twirl DD - it was priceless! My DD was beaming for hours. :cloud9: At MK she met Tigger and Pooh .... She asked Tigger what he likes to do best .... Cause I know Pooh loves Honey. Tigger bounced for her. She told Tigger she loves to dance and Tigger proceeded to dance with her.

Also at CM when everyone was twirling their napkins, DH was not .... Donald came over and stood there staring at him .... Finally DH got it and twirled his napkin ... Donald moved on then ... It was so funny. :lmao:

DD loves to chat with the characters .... It's so fun to watch and listen ....

Your dh made it off easy- Donald hit me in the back of the head twice with his napkin for not twirling mine!! My second daughter was only 18 months at the time and from that point on in the trip she screamed angrily at Donald even pointing at him at the AK parade and screaming . Idk if she connected the too, but CM was our first nigt of the trip and she had it in for the duck the rest of the week!

Last September in WS UK area my DD10 waited in line to see Alice. My DD had a backpack with her Duffy sticking out of it and Alice asked if she could see her backpack. She gave it to her and Alice ran off saying you can't catch me! This is my bag now! My DD and Alice were running around playing and laughing for a good few minutes. It was very cute and a memory she will never forget. I love how the child characters actually behave like children...I've heard Peter Pan will do similar things.

On our last trip to DLR, we did the Surf's Up character breakfast and had a riot with Stitch! He came over to DS5 and tried to get him to play a few hand games with him, but DS didn't know how to do the game. So DH tried to show DS, and DS started to tease DH about losing. Stitch thought that was great, and was high fiving DS. Then I told DS that Stitch loves Elvis, but DS couldn't remember any Elvis songs so he sang "Yellow Submarine" instead. Stitch shook his head, but when DS switched to singing "Octopus' Garden", Stitch danced around. After that, every time Stitch came near our table, he tried to get DS to sing for him again.

And Daisy came by and put my napkin in my lap, then tied DS's napkin around his neck. DH said I should have my napkin around my neck because I'm a sloppy pig, and Daisy nearly had a fit! She scolded DH (with no words, of course) and every time she saw DH after that she shook her finger at him and gave me a hug. :rotfl:

As a child I got a good reaction from Captain Hook when I told him he was mean. He choked me.

My mother and I saw Suzy Mouse when I was a child too. My mom didn't know who she was and asked me. I said she was one of the mice who helps Cinderella make her dress. Suzy nodded her head very enthusiasticly that someone recognized her. This was in the days before CM handlers and her dress was coming unzipped in the back. My mom asked her if she could help Suzy with her dress. Suzy was very thankful.

We have had wonderful interactions with Stitch on the cruise with my ds every time we go.

I told Donald on the cruise last summer that duck was on the menu that night. His reaction was priceless.

When we go this summer I really want to meet Merida. I plan on walking up to her and saying "a princess does not place her weapons on the table" in a Scottish accent of course. I can't wait to see what she does.

Just read this whole thread and I think it's priceless. Tons of great ideas on here for character interactions. This just raises my level of anticipation for my upcoming trip! Counting down the days.:hourglass

My daughter said she wants to find the evil Queen and give her an apple and say "YOU eat it"

I have two sons who are 10 years apart in age. My little one loves princesses, so he saw Jasmine and had to get in line.

The older brother waited in line with him.

Let's just be honest about this - Jasmine, like most of the princess - is a beautiful, very attractive young woman.

So even though the older son was typically teen bored and disinterested with the whole thing (he was 15 at the time) by the time it was their turn and he actually saw Jasmine he got nervous and started looking at his shoes.

And Jasmine flirted with him shamelessly! I don't remember the details but things like saying how handsome he was, asking if he had a girlfriend, etc.

My son didn't know what to do with himself and stammered and stuttered like crazy :)

When it was time to go Jasmine asked him for a hug and that was just too much for him.... So she said, "at least a kiss on the cheek" and planted a big, juicy, red lipstick kiss on his cheek!

Needless to say he walked away with a big red lipstick kiss on his cheek and stars in his eyes!

I think he believes in Disney magic now;)

At 1900 PF, when ds was about 10, he had a good time smack talking Cinderella to the Wicked Stepmother. He was telling her that Cinderella wasn't that pretty and that he'd rather marry one of the stepsisters. She called them over and demanded he choose one. Then she called Cinderella over and told her the whole thing.

Just about anything you say to Gaston will get a good reaction. He's so funny!

This reminded me of a dinner we had at 1900 Park Fare. It was the Cinderella dinner with the mice in attendence not Lady Tremaine and daughters. There was a mother and daughter at the next table, and the little girl was wearing a Cinderella dress, so when Perla came by, I asked her if her and Susy had made this little girls dress. She agreed. So, when Susy came by, I told her what a lovely job her and Perla had done on the dress the little girl at the next table was wearing. They liked that. Soon Cinderella appeared and met everyone. After she left, the neighbouring little girl stood up, tugged at the sides of her dress and complained to her mom "Mommy, my pouffy things are not big like Cinderella's". The Mother replied "Don't tell me, complain to the mice. They made it". I laughed out loud on that one. :lmao:

1900 PF was our absolute favorite character interaction! The stepmother and Drisella were HYSTERICAL!

Now I'm actually second-guessing our decision to not go back to restaurants we've already been to just because of them :)

My husband is bald. Lady Tremaine walked right up to him and began admiring her reflection in the top of his head. She told me it was so "wonderful that I was able to bring my magic mirror everywhere". :rotfl2:
