What else to say to the characters???

I accidentally called Chip "Dale".
He pointed at his nose and smacked me on the head.

Those two are great, we saw them another time at MGM, and they started beating eachother up and flipped over a railing into the garden.

My DS just loves to "talk" to Chip and Dale about how bad Donald is for always picking on them. They always respond.

When taking a picture with Chip and Dale - we never say "cheese" - we say "say NUTS".

My DS says to Chip that Dale's the one always getting him in trouble and he should be more careful about that. Then he says the same thing to Dale. I then say "hey, you told Chip that Dale's the trouble maker".

At Donald's Breakfastosaurus, we make sure to tell Donald that it's about time he got his own restaurant and that Mickey gets too much attention.

We love interacting with all the characters.

I forgot one. The last time we were at Disney, my daughter was chosen to be given a special tour as Toon Town opened. She was given a personal tour of Minnie's house by Minnie and Pluto. So, we were the first family in the toon town tent .

Anyways, Goofy was late to enter the tent. He starts off at Barnstormer, of course. Well, when he finally got there the CM told Goofy that he was late. He "said" he was sorry. I asked Goofy how many times he rode Barnstormer. He said once. I said, "Um.. Goofy, you were gone a long time for just once." He then said "Twice". I replied "Goofy...." Then he did his laugh and then proceeded to show me three, four, and five fingers. I told goofy "Wow, that's a lot of rides in a row!" And he grabbed his head and made the "I'm dizzy" motion. Haha

I love all of these ideas, I'm taking notes for our Dec trip.

We did have a cute experience when we were at CRT, DD (2 1/2 at the time) asked Belle where the Beast was. She replied that he was still in bed because he is not much of a morning person.

My DW used to have REALLY long hair - when we saw Pocohantas - I asked her how she kept her hair so nice, and could she give tips to my wife..

BTW, she is the face character that impressed me the most, simply because with that costume, the she rally HAS to look the part

My son had Fun interacting with Raffiki

DD had fun with Cindy

This one has given me a couple of ideas - I think I'll try one of them when we go down in August - I'll tell people the reaction then.... Don't want to spoil it - want to see how well the character improvs

Anyone know if the characters still come up their walkways at Camp Mickey/Minnie at AK during the Lion King show? We happened upon them all together at the top of their trails last time we were there and my kids had about a 20 minute window of all the characters just to themselves. We have video of great dancing with the characters, chats, horsing around, etc. It was probably the best part of any of our Disney trips ever!
THANKS
Chris

Sometimes it's fun to flirt a little....Not suggestively or anything like that but when I see Mickey or Donald or Goofy or Chip and Dale I'm always saying how cute they are ("Aw! You guys are sooo cute!).

It's bound to getcha a big bear hug or a kiss on the hand or cheek! And those moments make the best pictures!

Also, as far as pictures are concerned, ALWAYS get in character with the characters! I always jump start something with the characters like that for a good pic. Like when we saw Cpt Hook and Smee- I said "Ok, guys, let's pose like pirates"! Even though we don't look like we're posing like pirates, it was still a fun and cute pic.
Look....

I would ask Cinderella if she was available next week to clean my house and that I'll pay her more than her stepmother does...

I would ask Dopey what 1 plus 1 was...

I would ask Mickey just what does it feel like to be Mickey???...

I would have to tell Donald that I overheard Mickey say he could beat you at anything...they've always had a bit of a freindly rivalry!

I'll have to think of more, but I like this thread, it's funny! :rotfl:

My sister was wearing a Guns N Roses Tshirt one time when we met Mickey. Mickey pointed at her shirt and gave a big thumbs up! I guess he was a fan! :rotfl:

:rotfl2: Those are funny!

Mickey was quite disappointed in me this past year when I was wearing a Donald Tee Shirt and asked Mickey to take a picture with me...he crossed his arms and shook his head and we had a hard time getting him to take the picture! It was funny! :rotfl:

These are great!!! I am going to have to remember them for our next trip!!! This past trip my DS was a little shy with the characters. One of us had to go with him every time. The only thing we did do every time was make sure he told each character he saw Thank You (for signing his autograph book, pics, etc) and have a great day. In seeing the way some other people were acting, I think they seemed to appreciate it.

At the Crystal Palace for breakfast, my brother (a former CP and official smart aleck) asked Piglet if he wanted some bacon.

Piglet put his hands to his face in horror.

It was pretty funny, but I called him a moron anyway.

This same brother (my twin, so I guess he can do what he wants), made me pose with Liver Lips kissing him on the lips with that same pose.

Please don't judge me by it :)

This past weekend I got to spend 2 days with my DS5 and Mickey...what a perfect weekend. I remember reading things to say to the characters to get the interaction going, anyone want to share more ways???? I'm hooked and planning my next trip Dec. 1-4th and need more things to say.

I'll start with what I said this past weekend....

1. Ask Minnie if she got a wedding ring yet....told her it's okay because my son said he would marry her

2. Ask Chip and Dale if they are squirrels...they go nuts!

3. Tell Captain Hook....TICK TOCK TICK TOCK!!!

4. Call Chip...Dale and Dale...Chip....very very funny reaction!

5. When you see Cruella.... BARK!!!!

Any other ideas?

If you haven't tried these things....DO IT! My DS5 was totally embarrassed at first but loved it and by the end of the weekend wanted to know what else we were going to say to the characters.

lmfao about the Cruella!!!

When I first saw Winnie the Pooh, I just about had a heart attack....I got so excited and DH just laughed at me. But when it was time for me to get my picture with him, I said, I have to hug Pooh! He kissed me on the cheek when I hugged him. I teased DH that Pooh thought he was my boyfriend. Many months later we ate at Crystal Palace and Pooh blew me a kiss! It is now an ongoing joke that Pooh IS my boyfriend....both times I've met him he's kissed me!!

This one is not mine, I actually read it on disboards, but I thought it was soooo cute I thought it should go in this thread. A lady and her daughter met Peter Pan one night when he saw the girl's light up shoes. He ran up to her and told her she had pixies in her shoes and she better let them out!

anytime i see Chip and Dale, no matter what park, they always come up to me and kiss me and grab my hand and try and walk away with me. the first time it happened, my fiance thought it was cute.....10 times later i guess it gets a little less cute! lol. we were at a character breakfast last time we saw them and of course they came over, pushed my fiance out of his chair and sat next to me. the family laughed, my fiance just stood there scowling at them lol. oh and during the light parade Peter Pan came out and shook my hand and told me he liked my "stuff"(being that i had a Tinkerbell hoodie on and i bought a tinkerbell wand) i was so excited, Peter Pan had been my childhood crush haha! my fiance laughed at that one.

haha!! that's awesome! (ps....love your userpic!)

This thread has some great stories. After reading the stories about Chip and Dale, I'm excited for our breakfast at CM's.

When we went to WDW in '94, we ate in the castle. Cinderella came around to our table and talked with my little sisters about being a princess and then gave each of the boys a kiss(on account of my parents missing the picture, she kissed me twice and I kissed her once). When she went to kiss my 7 year old brother, he ran away from her and she chased him. Suffice it to say, 10 years later he vowed to get a Princess's phone number. When I teased him about not letting Cinderella kiss him he told me, "don't remind me. It's the biggest regret of my life."

Now he and I tried to visit Aurora at Disneyland, but maybe we'll get to see her in May at WDW.

On another occasion at Disneyland, we even got Mickey and Minnie to kiss each other.

I read somewhere(I think it was on allearsnet) that it's a really good idea to kiss the hands of the female non-human characters. Do not, however, do this with the Princesses. I've seen it happen and the Princess was clearly uncomfortable.
