Hey there!
Our trip is getting closer and closer but I'm done planning and ADRs are all booked, now what?
I'm so excited to go and I still come on to the DIS almost every day. My DH asked me yesterday if I was addicted .... umm duh! :rotfl: I have a little over a month before our trip and I'm feeling a little of that lull where there is not much to do except wait and watch the ticker click down.
I don't have my costume fully complete yet for MNSSHP (I'm thinking of the bride from HM) but that's about it. It's too early to pack yet but I feel I want/need to do something. So how do you wind down the clock before your trip ?

We do a count down calendar that I make. It hangs on the wall--I make a different one for each trip--and we move the marker (last time we each had our own of our own likeness) to the next slot each day. It helps a little :)

I'm in the exact same position! lol. My mum just doesn't get it as much as me!!! I'm always planning and looking up pictures and thinking of t-shirts to make and she just wants to sleep (so what if I keep her up like 3 hours after she usually goes to bed :confused3 LOL jk) I'm finally starting to get to her though!!! :cool1: She actually wanted to look at the guidebook I made for our trip. So that's a start :earboy2:

Start planning your next trip. I'm taking my younger son and D-I-L to WDW Sept 17th-24th. All the ADRs are made and we have a general itinerary. All the clothes I'm going to take are washed and ironed and hanging together in the front of the closet. Got free dining, resort and airline tickets are paid for. I have all our information together in a divided file folder thingy. All I have to do is order a cake from 'Ohannas for their anniversary.

I'm taking my 73 y/o mom for her first ever trip to WDW Dec 9th-18th. I have the Best Rate Plan doing a split stay at POFQ and CSR. I've ordered our tickets for MVMCP and the CP pkg. I have a list of places we want to eat and will call Sept 10th for ADRs. I'm still checking airline prices and will need to rent her an ECV, but am putting it off because I'm afraid she's going to change her mind. I have all the info for this trip in another divided file folder thingy.

I'm also tentatively planning to take my GD (who will be 9 y/o) to WDW next spring. I spoke to my elder son a few days ago who said she could probably go. So now I need to start making some definite plans for that trip. To get the free dining in Sept I bought myself a 7 day MYW ticket with pluses, but will use my AP while I'm down there saving the MYW ticket for next spring. I plan to buy both me and my GD a 1 day MYW base ticket to get the dining plan and then upgrade her ticket to an eight day ticket with pluses when we get down there. I guess I need to get another divided file folder thingy to start filing information for that trip.

What makes it fun, is each of the trips are going to be different. My son and D-I-L want to spend alot of time at the water parks, DTD, PI, and DQ. They also want to go parasailing, rent boats, play miniature golf, etc. My mom on the other hand has absolutely no interest in any of that and wants to see the Christmas decorations and shows, as well as exploring the different resorts. She wants to try out as many restaraunts as possible, so we will be doing almost all TS meals and be spending most of our time at Epcot. My GD of course will want to do kid things and will want to eat mainly hot dogs and hamburgers.

I am in the same boat!!! I am on the DIS all day - I love reading all of this stuff. Last night when I was saying my goodnights - I told my family "goodnight DD, goodnight DH, goodnight DS" My husband told me that I needed help!!! :earboy2:

We typically plan a couple of "planning" dinners along the way just to get everyone together and go over the plans for the trip. This can occupy a couple of the days. In fact, you can take up a couple of days planning the dinners if you choose to theme them, maybe after your favorite parks, attractions, characters, etc. Get a few souvenirs to give out during the dinners, come up with creative games, even some Disney trivia. Get you cd's/mp3's in order. It can take a good bit of time to get that perfect order down, especially when you have to listen over and over to decide which is the perfect song to follow Remember the Magic (my favorite). Don't forget you need to make a list of the perfect pictures you need for scrapbooking when you get home. I always start with the major icons at each of the parks and work from there. You have to list out what pins you hope to acquire this trip and which ones would make the best statement for your trip. Oh, the list goes on and on and on...

I am in the same boat! We are leaving 10/6 going to mnsshp 10/6. My Dh does not know about the trip it is a surprise for his bday 10/5 so I have no one to talk to about any plannig! If he knew how much time I spend reading on The Dis I think he would ban me from the computer!! I think that I am going to try to forget about it for a while so that it goes by faster. I am sure I won't forget but I will try! 41 days to go!! :hourglass  :Pinkbounc  :Pinkbounc

The days do seem as though they are just creeping along!!! It's all making me a tad bit  !!!!

36 days too go

My hubby is also ready to ban me from the computer. I think I'm beyond hooked on these boards.
