What DVC resort do you NOT like?

Everybody loves many of the resorts, but there most be one or two that you just don't like for one reason or another?

What DVC property do you NOT like and why???

Sorry, we have been to all but HH. We own 3 at WDW and I can honestly say we really like everyone. I'm sure we can add HH to that list if we every get to try it out.

You will have a great trip no matter where you stay.

VWL is our least favourite then OKW. VWL because it is to far away from the ammenities of the main resort which is also true of OKW but OKW is because we feel like we are stuck at a retirement home.

The only one we've tried and didn't care for is VWL. Just too dark and too removed from the main lodge. I know others love it and that's great, but it just doesn't do it or us. We've loved OKW & BCV, and of course love our Boardwalk home.

Saratoga Springs , Boardwalk

Basically its OKW location with the smaller rooms.
Unless you really think being that close to DD is an advantage. For me I can get there by car in 5 minutes from OKW or take the relaxing ferry.
Do not like the outside "motel" like hallways.
SPA means nothing to us.
Main pool is very nice but too far from the rooms (phase two I believe are closer).
Boardwalk ,is less desirable to us since BCV opened - It does have GV but we own at OKW so would use those and they are basically the same location as BCVs but we prefer the pool , restaurants , atmosphere, parking and small differences in layout at BCV.

These are the only DVC resorts that we do not LOVE.
All the others have different unique advantages but these do not have ANY that appeal to us that another doesnt.

I just noticed the past 2 comments about VWL being far from the main lodge. Just wondering, we have never stayed at BWV or BCV. Are either of these resorts closer to the lobby than VWL?

I like certain ones more than other ones. But I can definetly say I like them ALL. Each has it's own style and ammenities, and that is why I like them all.

I really didn't like BWV. Rooms were extremely small, decor was boring. View of MGM was great, but I thought BWV was supposed to be in the middle of the action. Rolling up the sidewalks at 10:00 or so pm sure didn't make it any better.

No, they aren't, but I think there is an illusion that it is closer because it is still inside.

I forgot to post MY answer. Sorry. My least favorite is BWV. I'm not at all fond of the hotel atmosphere there, and, unlike many others, I don't find the location to be that convenient. Sure, you can walk to two parks if you want to, but it's still a lot of extra walking, and those air conditioned buses from OKW or SSR or VWL are much more to my likeing. I don't care for the floor plans of the non OKW resorts too much. If I were to rank the on-site DVCs, my list would be:
1. OKW
2. SSR
3. VWL
4. BCV
5. BWV

They're all great resorts. I'd put SSR and HH at the bottom of my list and OKW at the top. There is not much of a gap for the top 5 resorts but a large gap to the last two (HH and SSR) for various reasons. My main issue with HH and SSR is location. But I wouldn't hesitate to stay at either one if the need arose.

We made a point of seeing all on-site properties while on our last vacation and I should say we love them all.

They are all very different and unique and I too would not be disappointed staying at any of them.

Having said that, we stayed at OKW and loved it!!

Its so nice to vacation and know you can expect something really nice, no surprises!!!

I've got to say that my least favorite resorts are those that are not primarily DVC resorts. There's just something about getting caught on busses and boats with the people that believe that going to WDW is a once in a lifetime experience. They always seem to complain that something isn't quite "magical" enough for them. Therefore, I'm voting against VWL, BWV, and BCV. .... I LOVE my DVC!

I would have to say SSR is my least favorite, although maybe I shouldn't really say because we haven't stayed there...just toured it and checked it out a few times. It is just too remote and spread out for us. Now OKW is sort of the same, but the rooms are much bigger and views are very pleasant. Our faves are the ones that DO have more of a hotel feel - BWV is #1. We also enjoy VWL and don't find it too far from the main lodge. We are looking forward to trying BCV, and I suspect I will enjoy it since it is so close to EPCOT. To each his own!

The only DVC resort that we haven't tried yet is HH. The only one we did not like is BCV. It was the only bad DVC stay we have had yet. Other than that, each resort offers something unique that we like. Our favorite is OKW....so much space for less points...and sitting on the patio giggling at the golfers is soooo much fun!

We basically agree. We love the DVC resorts that have the hotel feel and all the added features.
We do not care for the location of the Downtown Disney DVC resorts. Although they are not really that far from the parks and all their entertainment; to us it feels as though it is very removed from what we want from a vacation.
We would also pick OKW over SSR, if getting a 1 bedroom or larger. because it is a better deal. You get much bigger rooms for less points, in basically the same location. If we were getting a studio, at a Downtown Disney DVC resort,we would pick SSR. We do not like the set up of OKW studios.

Seriously my least favorite would be in this order:

VB
SSR
WLV
BCV
BWV
HH

and my all time fav for which I am sure I will own a contract soon, is OKW. I just LOVE that place!

But take me to any of the above and I always manage to have a wonderful vacation.

I don't care for VWL and have no desire to stay there.

We had dinner once at the WL and I'm sure it's a wonderful resort. But the theming just doesn't do anything for me personally.

OKW, if I want to vacation in a relaxing florida condo, there are other places I would rather go. I am all for the heavy Disney theming, so BWV, BCV, and WLV would be for us with BWV being our favorite.

Least fav SSR.

Trying not to form an opinion on WLV yet, stayed there once and found transportation inconvienent also not thrilled at all with room, ground floor looking at woods (about 10 feet from sliders). So I will stay there again before i pass judgement.

DH least fav is BW, he's really not sure why, he just always says "i don't know if i like staying here" every time we stay there.
