We are going on october 2013 to celebrate my DD birthday, and since we can exchange through RCI, we are going to stay DVC.

We are going to be between 4 and 6 adults and my 5yo DD, and since we are going with both parents in laws (my mother and sister and my both my inlaws) we would like to have 3 bathrooms, so what is your recommendation. We have only stayed at BWV.

TIA

I believe the 2 bedroom suites at AKV have 3 bathrooms. It is my home resort and is beautiful! Very peaceful and quiet when you want to unwind from a day at the parks. It is truly a vacation within itself :cloud9:

Someone will correct me if I am wrong but...

Unless you get a Grand Villa, the most bathrooms you will have is 2 for a 2BR. The grand villa's are hard to get, even for DVC members.

Pick the resort that fits your style. They're all great and very different.

I'm a fan of:
Old Key West - larger rooms, bigger balconies, quiet and laid back resort.
Boardwalk - a walk to Epcot and Studios
Animal Kingdom - Great views!

Because you have a specific week in mind, *and* you need a larger unit, I would recommend being as flexible as possible with your resort choices. The 2BR deposits can be relatively rare, particularly at BLT and AKV.

If you are in RCI Points, be sure you have a sufficient point balance in your account; the charts are available in the online directory. If you are in RCI Weeks, my best guess is that you'll need a deposit (or a combined deposit) with a trade power value of around 48 or so based on what we are seeing now. I would be conservative and use a deposit line with a minimum value of at least 60. If you exchange through a mini-system (WorldMark, Wyndham, Bluegreen, etc.) be sure to check to see that you have a suitable number of credits/points on deposit. And, most importantly, use an ongoing search.

Most Dedicated 2 bedroomed Villas in in AK villas have 3 bathrooms,, this is a link below which tells you about AK villa --

If you get a Jambo House two bedroom villa, it will be a lock off and it will not have the extra bathroom. You need a two bedroom villa (either dedicated or lockoff) at Kidani Village to get the extra bathroom.

You are going to have to keep watching the RCI trades and see what comes up. Depending on your trade strength, you may or may not be able to get AKV or BLT. You might only be able to get SSR or OKW, both of which are very nice. But neither have a third bathroom.

Thanks to all for your replies, we were thinking of staying at AKL, and from your replies I will try to get Kidani. What they told my at RCI was that the only one we couldn't get was BLT, and that AKL was one of the top choices and that if we do it whit enough time and with and ongoing search we can get it without a problem, as I told you, in september we had a 2BR at BWV for the week we wanted.

Thanks again

I think the treehouses at ssr have 3 bathrooms

Do you trade via weeks or points? I have weeks and used to be able to get a 2BR with a TPU of 28 but it requires much more now. Considering I can get an off site 2BR with 10TPU, I have switched to off site.

I own FAVC, and I can use my points with RCI, I suppose I trade with points, for me is 5400 points for a 2BR, I don't know if this helps or answers your question

The THV have 3 bedrooms but only 2 bathrooms. And although the master bath is very nice, the 2nd bathroom is on the small side.

My wife loves the tree houses when we saw them going from POFQ to DTD, and I have to admit they look cool, but with only 2 bathrooms and to me they seem away from everything, I don't think I would like staying there.

We own DVC and AKV is our home resort. We always stay at Kidani for the extra bathrooms. We love it there, however on a recent visit we decided to try Beach Club and fell in love with it! It's nice because you are close to so much and so many places to eat. The only concern I have is that AKV can some times feel a little out of the way even though it's only 5 mins drive to most things. I never felt that way until this last visit and we stayed at BC having all the entertainment and things to see and do at the Boardwalk. On the other side of the argument it's nice being far away from things since the whole purpose of being at AKV is to wisk you away from the city and fully emerse you into the true "African" feel. I know you will love it! :thumbsup2

Hi rjvose17, this is exactly what I feel, I would love to stay at BCV or at BWV again for being so close the everything, especially Epcot and DHS, but my wife saw some photos and videos of AKL and fell in love with it

My family and I just had a FANTASTIC vacation @ Animal Kingdom Kidani Villas Savannah View!! Second Floor which is Lobby Level. I suggest it if having Savannah view. Wouldnt want to look down at animals. It is now my kids favorite resort over BCVillas!! The rooms are huge ( we were in a 2br. which has 3 baths). Beautifully decorated. Love the fact you park right under your room area, we literally when up the elevator turned left, 5 doors down was our room, which was perfect for us because we drive to the parks, and a short walk for tired little legs. My husband who was going in to this very skeptical, saying " I am not going to like it there" ended up loving it! It is very quiet here, which is great when u want to unwind from the parks, firepit every night, night vision goggles, activity center that my kids and I went to often. Very short walk or bus ride to Jambo for @ Mara counter service meal or Boma and or Jiko which are all great places. That is the only thing Kidani could use is a counter service area, other than that!! Loved it!! Planning a week here next year!

I can respect all the other posters loving thier specail DVC.........but the reasons they mention.close to everything.busy.etc..........those are the reason we love Old Key West...great theming.......wonderful units......largest of all WDW......spread out wide.......nice walking.........as bus service goes its the best in WDW.......4 pools.......2 small, one very large with a dry suana and water slide......we love the qiuet restuarent.OLIVIAslots to do.

But the bottem line is.......personel taste!

What ever DVC you stay at will be deluxe!

Have a great mgical time!
