What does your Tooth Fairy do?

I was reading about a boy who received WDW Tickets from the Tooth Fairy. I thought that was very cool, but it got me thinking what everyone else gets from their Tooth Fairy?

Our Tooth Fairy brings coins from around the world. A coin or two for each tooth. We usually don't know the exact value of the coin or where it's from, but we have fun guessing and then we look it up to find out where the Tooth Fairy was and learning about the world.

What does the Tooth Fairy bring to your toothless kids??? Or what did you get when you were a kid?:teeth:

We never know what the tooth fairy will bring. The tooth fairy has brought the new gold coins and also coins from other countries. Usually though she just brings a dollar or 2. My youngest had to have some rather extensive dental work done recently (over 4 visits) and 2 teeth were pulled. For those teeth the tooth fairy brought little gifts like a Webkinz Cares toy or something. The tooth fairy also once left my dd a note saying that when her dentist let her know that my dd has stopped sucking in her finger she (the TF) would bring her something really special. Unfortunately, my dd still sucks on her finger and the tooth fairy may have to wait a really long time to bring that gift.

Our Tooth Fairy leaves little, teeny-tiny notes in place of the teeth she takes :teeth: She "writes" so tiny the kids sometimes have to get a magnifying glass to read it!! She always compliments them on how well they have taken care of their teeth and encourages them to keep it up :thumbsup2 Oh, and a crisp $1 bill too

DS lost a tooth on our last Disney vacation and Tink, the Tooth Fairy's cousin (you knew they were cousins, right?) left the note that time.

DD lost 2 at a time last time so she go a bonus buck!

our tooth fairy just leaves a dollar, except for the time Nanny & Pa were watching DD#1. For some reason that time she left $5. Oh, and there was the time that DH and I both called to let the tooth fairy know that DS lost a tooth and DS ended up with $2. :upsidedow

We're in Canada, so the Tooth Fairy brings a loonie ($1 coin) for a front tooth, and a toonie ($2 coin) for a molar. We also have a "tooth fairy dish" that sits on a cupboard, rather than doing the "under the pillow" thing....

The last tooth lost at our house was just a couple of weeks ago, and she got a Disney Dollar for it, as at the latest Meeting Of Legendary Figures, Santa told the Tooth Fairy about our trip (The Santa Claus movie, if you're wondering, lol).

I like the 'coins from around the world' idea...neat!:thumbsup2

Ours leaves 2 gold dollars.
DDs last tooth came out at WDW, so the tooth fairy left 2 dollar bills and a Minnie Pin DD saw earlier at the Pin Carts.
She asked me how the tooth fairy knew she wanted that one, I told her that Santa probably told her. :rotfl2: You know, those spies are everywhere!

The first tooth my daughter lost, I had purchased her a porcelain fairy doll. Very pretty. Tiffany the Toothfairy left this special doll for her to take care of, Tiffany the Toothfairy even wrote a special letter to my daughter with care instructions. She is 16 now and still has that doll. She loves it and plans on giving it to her daughter someday.

our 10 yr old gets $5 (shes starting to question things now) were thinking about doing disney dollars for our younger one

My dd just lost another tooth last night. We just give her what ever money we have around the house. So it was just a dollar. She is only five so anything is better than nothing to her.

But, while we were in Disney last year, she lost a tooth the second day and this time the tooth fairy did not come but dear Tinkerbell came. Tinkerbell is her favorite character and she was excited about getting $10.00 from her. That is the most she has ever received!

There is a really neat book called Throw Your Tooth on the Roof. It is all about the traditions other cultures have when it comes to losing teeth. Amazon carries it.

DS5 lost his first tooth Sunday...NO, Really...he LOST it! It came out, he didn't tell me, apparently "played" with it, and when he told me we couldn't find it anywhere! No tooth, no tooth fairy. We had even discussed what to do when it came out...UGH.

our tooth fairy gives $5 and a gift card to cold stone creamery for the first tooth. then each tooth after that receives $1 and their favorite candy bar. We like to keep thins sike tooth fairy, santa and Easter bunny simple.

My DD gets one of the gold dollar coins, a tiny toy of some sort (because the tooth fairy is too small to carry something big ;) ) and a little typewritten note. My DD has said that she's going to ask the tooth fairy for a photo of herself next time so I'm still trying to figure out what to do about that one.....

Our tooth faily brings cute little girl jewlery for our daughter and has not come for a boy yet - I like the coins from around the world idea - where do you get them?
