What does your house look like

INT_HIGHLAND%20HOMES%20REMINGTIV.jpg

Its our builder's most popular model. I like that all the space is completely useable-I just wish I'd built out my lanai.

We had a bigger house up north, but that meant more to clean, so we avoided bigger houses.

you texas people trip me out. a brand new 1500 sq. ft home in my area of mississippi is betwen 170 and 200! it is insane. we found a 1400 sq. ft. house we liked that was 13 years old and it was 146 thousand! I wanna go to texas now! gggrr.... :scratchin

Wow you get a lot for your money in TX! Homes are really expensive here in the Twin Cities area...you have to go fairly far out if you want to get something decent for your money. We have townhomes that go for what some of you TX people are paying for big houses.

Two years ago, we bought a 1600 square foot house in Ocean Springs Mississippi for 115,000. We just sold it for quite a bit more and it didn't site for more than two days before it went under contract.

The only problem with the Texas house prices is if you want to leave. DH was offered a job in Conn. a few years ago. Once I saw what $280,000 could get you there verses my $112,000, I made him turn the job down.

You should she the POS 1 family accross from me thats going for $400,00. The houses in the links look like mansions compared to it.

This is our house now. It has a much bigger front yard than the drawing portrays and different colors.

I am SO Excited! It is 6 bedrooms and 7 baths which is an upgrade from the 4 bedrooms I have now! Plus it is closer to work. :sunny:

I think I might be the only one to post pics of an old house,
Our house belonged to my grandma and when we moved we had to change a lot of stuff like my carpet, I actually have nightmares that it came back :)
It was brown pink red orange and light brown, my grandma liked funky stuff.
My mom has a pretty big bedroom it is 24by26, other than that our house is pretty average.
We live in the country on a golf course.
and its surounded by trees im a nervous wreck when the wind is strong . I dont think we will ever move, we may go to florida and stay in my dads condo, but we would never ever sell this house.

the pics our blurry because my scanner isnt working so I just took a pic of the pictures :)

This is our floor plan. We started out here with two little kids but quickly added a third. While the downstairs rooms are of good size, we feel like we are outgrowing our home. To move is way too expensive so we are going to fill in the two story family room which will give us a nice bonus room upstairs. We are also looking at adding a sun room in the near future as well.

It was neat to look at all of the other plans and pics. Thanks for sharing.

It is so cool to see the different styles of houses from around the country. Tigger I hope you get that house, it is beautiful.

do you know if it is still up after the hurricane? I don't know how familiar you are with MS but i am in Madison, north of Jackson and it is crazy how much it is to live here, even just compared to nearby towns 10 min. away! :confused3

Here's our tiny house. 1200 sq ft 1940 Cape with detached garage. 2BR/1 BA. Full basement (currently unfinished)

Here is the basic look of the house we are going to build when the old house comes down:

It will be ten-twelve feet up with the raised basement being storage and garage and an open area in the back for covered parties.
